Pretty nice, not the greatest but definitely worth a go. Has GREAT hiking trails out of the campground but unfortunately we forgot dogs aren’t allowed on state park trails so we couldn’t do the fern trail which is why we went. Easy walkable access to the ocean.

Narrow steep curvy “one lane” driveway under the hwy 1 bridge down to sites
Driving real slow and meeting nobody makes it a non event however I would hate to meet a careless driver or have to reverse up to allow up hill traffic to pass
Sites were a bit difficult to back into as the angle of the site and the two foot high wood stumps road delineation markers across from sites were difficult to manouver past without the front passenger side hitting the stumps if your site is on your left
This is more of an issue in low light
No road traffic noise from the hwy 1 bridge which is overhead and not too far away
Clean bathrooms

We arrived after the ranger booth was closed for the night, but found our campsite assignment written in the window. We were at 17. 18 and 19 were stacked right next to it, lending very little privacy, but they both had signs that read “Reserved or Closed”, which meant we were all by ourselves in the small little area. The showers were $1 for 5 minutes and were a short walk from the site, we could see the shower building from our camp. Campsite numbers 23 and up were a little more spread out and afforded more privacy, but there were no showers on that side of the campground. We never had the chance to check out the beach - 11 am check out crept up on us and we packed to leave. No cell service until you get back up the hill to the entrance of the park. Raccoon boxes are available, and we did see some eyes on our evening walk, but they did not cause trouble. We were told that a bear had been spotted about a month before.

“No cell service and full. Went to Casper ”
Reviewed 8/14/2018
Casper RV park has free WiFi, otherwise I don’t think there is anywhere else close to camp at with cell service. This campground was full so we didn’t stay.
