Check in/out staff were super friendly. Lots of space between campsites. Lots of trees, but well trimmed along the roads. Shower rooms were clean, thou the shower water was barely warm enough. Water and electricity at our site w a central dump. Easy access to dump site and dumpsters. Would we stay again? Absolutely!!

We stayed here over Halloween weekend in 2022 for 4 nights. Incredible decorations and super fun in our loop! We picked #83 for the water access, however, the beach was really mucky and not one to drag a kayak across and launch - I sunk in the mud. I actually liked the sites that are a bit higher up in the loop, higher up in elevation which have really pretty views. Some of these sites are massive! A few a bit further along in our loop were the largest sites I have ever seen!
The check in people were super nice - ranger was also super nice and it was a really fun time to be at this campground.
Trash dumpsters way out by entrance and one of the dump stations was plugged.
BUT, if you ever want to camp over Halloween weekend - this is the place - copy and paste for a video on the Halloween decorations in this campground: https://youtu.be/PEqFxK-_3oc
The best decorations ever!

We stayed July 3 to July 9, had a wonderful time and we plan on returning next year. The $56 I paid was because site 84 is a "double." $28 a night is the normal rate for single sites. The check-in staff were very helpful and friendly. Other than checking-in and out, and a question I had at the gate about local restaurant locations, there was no interaction with staff members... it appeared a "ranger" or the sheriff made a pass through the camp ground once or twice a day. Sites 83, 84 and 85 are at the lowest end of the park and have the easiest access to the lake, although any of the lakeside sites have access, although some may require the negotiation of a tall bank. People park their boats right by their lakeside campsites; I kept my canoe right on shore about 75 feet from my site. The lake is peaceful and beautiful, although very boating-busy on the weekend especially. The facilities are clean and well maintained. There's no mention of bear safety, such as food storage, etc. in the camp literature and I can say with certainty, bears are present; we saw a black bear (150-175 pounds?) while canoeing one evening on the opposite bank of the cove from the sites in the 90's. This campground is a steal at $28 a night, and I am looking forward to other CoE campgrounds in the future. We hope to return here for another week next year.

First of all I want to say that the staff will go out of their way to help you!
Most sites are very privet. Our site had direct access to the lake. The two things I didn't like was the red clay and the mosquitoes, but we were there after a week of high water.
We would camp here again and plan to.

Quiet, clean and comfortable campground. All fairly good size sites with adequate privacy between most sites. We pull a 33 ft. 5th wheel and had no trouble at all. Cell service was a little light. 1 bar on AT&T.

The sites are very large, with huge sitting areas with picnic tables and fire pits. Most sites looked level, although ours had a slight slope to it which required us to use pads under our rear jacks. We had a nice view of the water, as did many of the sites. Sites are water/electric only. Our firepit was pretty dirty, but the campground appeared very well maintained. There are several double sites available if you're traveling with another camper. We had good cell coverage in our site, but while walking around the campground itself, the coverage was spotty. We would stay here again.
