Overall Rating
14-site national forest campground 11.5 miles from the tiny community of Del Rio, TN, located near the top of Round Mountain at 3,100 feet elevation. Accessed off TN-107 via 6 miles of graveled forest road in reasonable condition during our visit in July 2020. Traveling in our Class B van pulling 10-ft kayak trailer. Replete with rhododendrons, hardwoods and mosses, a small mountain brook flows through the campground. No bath house, electric or potable water available. Vault toilets only. Only two other sites occupied during our overnight here. Max Patch Bald is 5.4 miles away and well worth the visit!

Overall Rating
Mainly set up for tents. However, certain sites have room for class b sized vehicle or smaller trailer. Pit toilet, nothing else. Lush and water flowing everywhere. Short trail leads to Appalachian trail shelter site.
