Was pleasantly surprised by the enjoyment of Rothwell Park. Long paved walking paths, two small lakes for fishing and scenery, playgrounds, special event days and a small train for kids and kids at heart on Sundays. The RV spaces mostly don’t fit your rig and tow vehicle but there is space for sideways or grass parking beside. The outer spots 11,12,15 & 20 have great front spaces with lots of room. Our spot 15 was stated as 35’ but had room for our 38’ with the back end hanging over. Wifi is the typical very slow and the AT&T was pretty slow. Our cell boaster helped a lot.

Stayed 4 days and had a great time. For the details check out the website there are tons of things to do here. This is really a family setting for everyone. The walking trails are blacktop and dog friendly. The sites are all full hookups. Sites 1 to 4 are tight like in a RV park. The rest are nice but bring leveling blocks. Watch the size as some are short. Site 5 seems to be fairly level but full sun in the morning then shade in the afternoon. Short drive into town for supplies. There is a railroad that can be heard about 2 to 3 hours as the trains go by. This is a city park but extremely well maintained and the staff are very friendly. Call the number only during posted times they will take you’re your name and when you arrive the park ranger will find you and collect the fees but bring cash or checks no credit cards. There is a pullout just before the campground itself to unhook your dingy to help in the back in spaces.
