Clean, quiet and pretty. Easy to access and only a few minute off the main highway. Cooked over a make shift fire ring and had a vault toilet. Even caught a fish on the lake. Can’t ask more for a free site.

Came in at night with 40 ft motor home. Parked on the paved lot. Great spot for fishing. No water or garbage though. Restrooms available. Would stay here again. Lovely to skywatch

We came in a 40ft bus conversion with low ground clearance. No problems getting in or out. It is tough to get level if that bothers you. The mosquitos were awful in mid June but worth the stay for sure. We had the place to ourselves.

We stayed for a quick overnight. It was easy to get in-and-out of the campground and it was free, which is always a plus. This place was perfect for an overnight from Eastern WA to Bozeman area. We ended up missing the left turn and having to turn around. No problem for us but unlevel and might be more frustrating in a big rig. That road comes up quick! The sign is on the right and it is directly at the curved dirt road. We parked in the sloping dedicated spots. The closer to the boat launch parking the better or there is a open grass area BEFORE the launch just past the curved road. You could probably stop there overnight. We stayed hooked up for a quick rest and walked the dogs a bit. There were people at the boat launch/docks having a good time and a tent camper. A couple other campers in and out. No concerns from them.
Also, we lost cell service at the gas station directly off the freeway so know the route ahead of time. It is just off the main road. Surprisingly we regained service at the boat launch.
It is always tough to rate these type of stays.
Access: easy to get in and out. We stayed hooked up at 43' (truck &TT).
Location: it is not a destination unless you are boating for the day. But for a quick stop off the freeway, great!
Cleanliness: it was pretty clean there was even some firewood left by the fire pit! We did pick up a few things others left behind. Happy to do so to keep good free sites, our payment for the spot I guess. We did see a few other campers but nothing as mentioned before. They must have moved on.
Site Quality: for free, it's great! The added fire pit and firewood was a nice touch. But the slope was a bummer especially when wanting to stay hooked up and not do a full setup.
Noise: was pretty quiet. There was a group I could hear every so often having a good laugh, nothing intrusive. There was also some wildlife in the distance, not really sure what it was tho.

Beautiful place. Too bad there wasn’t a place to camp. The paved lot which others mentioned, was full of boat trailers (which is what the lot is for) and the sun had set so was getting dark. It didn’t seem like the lot was going to clear. Was there an actual camping area? I only saw the one which was over-occupied by a camper (i.e. makeshift home) and a few picnic tables in the trees which you couldn’t possibly park near. There is a gravel parking lot, so if you have good leveling blocks you might (stress on the might) go there. The lake was absolutely gorgeous and I would have loved to stay there. Sadly, I went to the rest area down the road.

I was going to spend the night but was disappointed as a tent camper there was nowhere to get out of sun. And obviously, somebody lives in their camper parked as close as I could get to the bathroom dog kenneled up and storage totes stacked up all over the place. I just left I sure hope they're paying property taxes LOL

We were the only ones there. We parked in the paved lot on the upper side so we could be fairly level. So quiet. Nice sunset.

Stopped here On our way through. There really is only one level spot. The other ones are impossible to get level. We tried. Really hard. Ended up camping in the boat launch parking lot. And risk getting a ticket.

Extremely busy and small. Makes a better boat ramp and parking lot then a campground.
