Ron Hoover Oasis RV Park

RV dealer/service center portion is closed down, no more RV’s piled up everywhere.

We are staying for the month of September 2023, and while dealing with a heat wave, we’ve had zero complaints with the park. $650/month space rent includes all utilities and Wi-Fi. Access to the beautiful oasis/lagoon style pool from 9am-9pm, 7 days a week. 24/7 access to 3 bathrooms with showers, and a 4washer/4dryer laundry room (work great!). Caryn the office lady is super nice and accommodating. 15 minute drive to the beach in Galveston, 30 minute drive into Houston. Some road noise, but most is blocked by the building that used to be the RV service center. Roads and pads are concrete and level, water pressure is good, and tastes good.

Getting into/out of the park is skinny and bumpy due to the massive road construction project going on, so take your time, but we had no problem with our Crew Cab/8’bed Ford pulling our 37’ bumper pull, so anything smaller will be easy.

We stayed at this RV park for 1 month. Rate ran $600 (utilities included). This place has both positives and negatives about it, but the bad outweighed the good for us. Pros: concrete sites, clean laundry facilities, good highway access, friendly manager. Cons: 1.) mud and rutted up grass everywhere from people parking in the grass by their site and RV's that are for sale being parked in the grass throughout the park 2.) the park is on the same property as Ron Hoover RV & Marine Center, which means the outdoor pool is next to the service area and the "recreation room" is also the lobby for the RV & Marine Center....there just isn't enough separation between the two causing it to be a weird living environment.
