UPDATE 9/2023: camp was upgraded/remodeled earlier this year and is now reopen. Still a little rough around the edges but they plan on finishing the landscaping work later this year. Some sites have been given new tables and fire rings, the two sites that were washed out in a flood a few years back have been replaced and the road rerouted, there are now garbage cans available during the summer and best of all new water taps throughout the camp. They even installed a threaded tap and large parking area to fill your RV tanks with ease. Price increased to $15/ night.
The campsites are clean, well spaced and fairly private. The gravel parking pads are large - just about any RV could get into most of the sites. And the access road up to camp is a paved two-lane road so access isn't an issue. All sites have a large concrete table and fire ring. The sites closest to the river do have a bit of a hike between the parking area and the tables but the other sites are fairly open and level. There is a camp host on duty. Pit toilets are at the center of the camp loops as well as a several new water taps and garbage cans.
Bear activity is high in the area and the camp host was making rounds through the camp to warn people that black bears had been in the area recently. There are no bear boxes available so be sure you can properly store your belongings in your vehicle.
Giving 4 stars only because this camp is WAAY out there - its quite a trek to get to this area.
