I made my reservation through Reserve America which charges $7.25 fee when using their reservation system. The entrance of this DEC campground is the same entrance to Fish Creek DEC Campground. You travel about a mile through Fish Creek to reach the entrance of Rollins Pond...then it's another mile to the check in booth. The road is paved and can easily handle large rigs. Rollins Pond is the quieter version of its larger sister campground Fish Creek. It's fairly large with nearly 300 sites, with 80% of the sites on the water. Most sites can accommodate large rigs but there are sites that drop off so the rear of your rig may hit when backing in. Each site only offers a fire ring and a picnic table...there are no hook ups! Sites are fairly large and some offer decent privacy while others are very close to each other. Water spigots are located throughout the park. Bathrooms are available through out the park, with one main shower building near the entrance. The campground has a boat launch, dump station, volleyball area and is well known for some great hiking and paddling all through the area. Since this campground is back into the forest, solar is hard to rely on with so much tree cover but, there are specific generator hours to help charge up. Cell service is unreliable, sometimes a text will go through....sometime it won't. Come supplied as the closest gas and groceries are over 10 miles away. There is a small store just down the road but be prepared to pay more for that convenience. It is really a nice campground with great staff....I would defiantly stay again.

“Outstanding Campground for Kayakers”

We had not visited the Adirondacks before and were thrilled with this campground. Many campsites allow you to launch. Some campsites, however, are simply too high off the water to allow direct launching. If you do decide to launch from your campsite, be sure to take something to leave behind to tell you where your campsite is. We took a traffic cone, and even at that had a hard time finding it when we were done paddling.
This campground is thick with trees, so go prepared with enough lanterns, petals, etc. We use a solar panel to re-juice our rig, and with four days of sprinkly rain, we were challenged. Because of the thick trees and vegetation, most campsites have a private feel to them, unlike those of Fish Creek Ponds that you must drive through to reach Rollins Pond.
The bath house is quite nice, but it is a bit of a hike from most of the campsites. Water spigots are generously located, as are restrooms. Watch for kids on bikes as you drive to your site.
Lynn would stay here again
