Yes, I know it was free. The pros: close to two towns. The cons: The flies were so bad during our stay we couldn't enjoy any outdoor things we love to do. The place is SUPER busy on Friday and Saturday with a packed lot full of locals/drunks. We were planning a 4 day stay and cut it down and left early we were so miserable. Couldn't even enjoy a peaceful sleep with drunks on nearby bridge and banks shooting fireworks, guns and blasting loud music while yelling and carrying on. People letting big dogs roam off leash into your camp after repeatedly being told to get them. If you are looking for peace and quiet in nature this is not the place. If you enjoy drunks, traffic, no sleep, and so many bugs you cant leave your tent, this is your place. Avoid it. Also no cell service at all.
