Rocky Point Campground

We stayed here in August for 3 nights. There is some road noise but is to be expected being next to the road. The reservation site clearly states that to be expected. This park is more of an extension to the main park up the road 4 miles. The noise didn't bother us and not like we sat in camp all day. The park itself was quiet and clean, with easy check in, and we could have a campfire. It is next to a boat ramp but it was closed for some repairs. All the pads are asphalt and relatively level. Ours was one of a couple pull-through sites and had a small view of the lake. We have a 33" class A and while the roads in the park are narrow we managed with no problems towing our jeep. There were a couple other spaces that handled larger RV's as well.
Cell service for Verizon was good most of the time but slowed down in the evening.
There are a lot of camping options in the area. So, it depends on where you want to be or current availability. This wouldn't be my first choice, but it worked and i wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We decided to stay here based on the Currens' review (@currentlywandering). But after arriving at Alder Lake Campground, we were told we had reserved our site at "Rocky Point" just down the road (technically part of the same park, but a different campground).

Unfortunately, this campground is *right* up against the highway. We listened to semi's and motorcycles all night and day.

Alder Lake: yes. But make sure you *don't* reserve a space at Rocky Point!
