Well kept and only 6 miles off the highway. Was quiet by 9:15. 5 star for noise meaning there was none. Karen was a gracious host, led us to our site on entering.

Your campground pass will get you free access to some other parks in the area. We spent 4 nights in site 14. The site itself was huge and had amazing views in every direction. Each site has its own trash receptacle.
Only negative things to say are that the showers are push button and the water temp is not warm enough for it to be enjoyable (at least in February). Also the trails and campground not ideal for dogs due to all of the cactus and loose rock footpaths but that’s to be expected in the Southwest.

We weren’t able to stay long but the park was clean and neat. Site 17 is on the higher side and has amazing views. Very friendly park host.

Lovely campground that I was only able to stay at for a couple of nights due to appointments in Tucson. Nice size site with the typical Ramada, electric and water hookup with a picnic table. You’re in the desert so don’t expect a lot of trees and foliage for privacy, but I think they did well with the layout. Some astronomy geeks set up down by the visitors center occasionally and offer everyone an opportunity to planet gaze. I saw Saturn dressed in all his rings! So much better than a photo! This was free and greatly appreciated! Visitor center was closed, but apparently they have a gift shop. Great views at night of all the twinkling lights in Deming. A couple of trails to keep you busy, but you need some hiking poles because the incline/decline can be steep and the trail was mostly loose rock. Equivalent to climbing a scree slope. I fell once, then paid a bit more attention and did fine. I wish I had hiking poles though…hope to go back sometime soon.

We stopped only 1 night on our way to Tucson, not expecting how SPECTACULAR this state park campground would be! The most private, spacious sites we’ve ever had anywhere— with mountain views and miles of prickly pear, yucca and ocotillo. There are well tended trails (not for hiking, but for strolling) through their Desert Botanic Gardens. The bathhouse was modern, clean and spacious. The park is about 10 miles outside the small town of Deming NM; come prepared to enjoy one of New Mexico’s loveliest desert parks.

We got lucky to reserve last minute a weekday in late October. Awesome campground. Immaculate. Host greeted us and showed us to our huge site. Sunset was gorgeous. You'll want to stay another night. Lots of trails that leashed dogs can come on too. I imagine it's pretty toasty in summer.

Easy access off of highway, immaculately clean facilities, pleasant host, and large sites with power/water. Site #15 has gorgeous views. For $14, it is a steal! Highly recommend.

The site was spacious, clean, and well maintained with 30 amp hookup as well as water hookup, picnic table, shelter, fire ring, and trash container at the site. The campground host greeted us shortly after our arrival, he was friendly and very professional, he offered tips for hiking and rock hounding. The restrooms were clean and the showers were hot and free. At our campsite we had 3-bars with Verizon. The views from our campsite were amazing, the trails were great, and the rock hounding was fantastic, I found a beautiful thunder egg rock! We enjoyed our stay here and will definately return.

Place is nice and clean, very quiet. We got in real late and left early so didn’t really get to fully check it out. We’ll have to go again.

It is a pretty park as some have said but if you have bought the state park pass and just want to BD you are out of luck. All 29 sites are reservable including the 5 BD sites.
