“Lovely park, but party crowd and very noisy”

Site was lovely. Only one hydrant in the park and no dump station (closest was in a city park through Beatrice - approx 10 miles away). Friday night there was a very loud party with nearly 20 people present. Music playing, alcohol consumed (singing beer songs and "where did I leave my beer?"), corn hole games with loud commentary so we could hear the score across the camp ground, bright lights. Party went on until after midnight. Camp host site was nearby, but apparently did not remind the party-goers of posted rules that state "no alcohol consumption/quiet hours between 10 pm and 6 am., or called the sheriff or ranger. Site next to us had a very bright gas light burning all night, located far from their camper which shone through our windows. They too were outside talking loudly until after midnight. Seemed every site had at least 2 barking dogs. Any campers who were there to enjoy the peace and quiet of nature around a campfire or campers in tents had no chance of getting any sleep. Such a pretty spot, yet a pity that inconsiderate people are allowed to ruin the experience for everyone else. "Paved" road to the park was nearly undriveable. The drop pit toilet was rank, filled with flies and spiders.

This is our second time camping at Rockford. Both times we got site 29, which allows our door to face the lake. This time there was an algae warning in the lake. Swimming was prohibited. But, we weren’t going swimming. We were one of two campers in the whole park.
This lake does not have a dump site, but we live near another state park and dump there.
Water is from spigots in the park. The water is not from wells but from the rural water district. Much safer drinking water.
