As of Aug 26 2022 the bridge is out. If you go north to the site labeled "Richel Lodge" on campendium, there is great parking.

There are lots of sites of varying quality along the road that leads to the Glacier Lake trailhead. The sites start once the road turns to gravel after the Limber Pine Campground. The road does get rough the last few miles. If you've got a larger rig, or low clearance, I would not consider going past the field at 45.02802, -109.43862 without unhitching and scouting ahead. There are a few spots further up that will take a larger rig, but other than those spots, the next turn around is going to be over some very rough road. If you're tenting or in a van, there are lots of nice spots all the way up to the trailhead. My experience in July was that most of the level larger and nicer spots were filled by Wednesday, but many cleared out on Sunday for a few days. The field at 45.02802, -109.43862 never filled, so it's a good fallback if you need a spot for the weekend. For another fallback, check out the listing for the field at the intersection of Lake Fork Road and the Beartooth Highway (this is north of the Main Fork Rock Creek Road intersection with the Beartooth Highway).
As you might expect, there are no services up here. For water, there is a hand pump at the campground. They are very adamant about reserving the garbage dumpsters for campers only however (padlocks and "security cameras"). The Town Pump in Red Lodge has a free dump station, but no potable water.

It goes for probably minimum 4 miles. So don’t be too worried when the road gets smaller in certain places. You will be able to turn around or get in a spot farther down. There are all kinds of spots especially right on the river! 15 minutes to town (red lodge) so worth it. One of the best places we’ve stay so far. No service at all with Verizon but full service in town and 5 minutes from the campground as well. There is free WiFi at the library, welcome center and one other place (see picture). With password but free to use. Dump & fill station at the conco gas station in town for free

I stayed here for two nights as I was driving to another location and wanted to explore the Beartooth Range. There were other campers close by but all very friendly and respectful. Fell asleep listening to the sound of the river. I hope to visit again.

Beautiful area, close to Beartooth. Road is washboard in a few sections, but not bad.
A lot of nice level spots further in, just have to drive in for quite a ways, past MK campground.
Would definitely stay here again.
