The owner is very nice and accommodating. He allows very late check ins. He lives on the property. There are a few cute cabins to rent. The sites were grass and level. Well taken care of. The grass is mowed regularly. The road was fine to drive in. There was only one older trailer there. There is a big open field to play in. The owner was telling us it’s a good place for seeing the stars at night. Bathroom is a little dated but private and the water gets hot. Close to the caves and tourist attractions. It’s the same price to stay here with hook ups as it is to dry camp in the national park. We enjoyed our time very much.

Let me start by saying that owner was very friendly and very accommodating. However the property needs a lot of work. As we pulled in we couldn’t even tell that it was an operating business. Let me start by saying that owner was very friendly and very accommodating. However the property needs a lot of work. As we pulled in we couldn’t even tell that it was an operating business. We were about 10 seconds away from pulling out when the owner came out to greet us. Had he not come out, we would have left. The website shows nicely stoned sites, but the stones are long gone and are now mostly grass and dirt. The property looks severely neglected. The roads need a lot of maintenance. There is at least six Brokedown dilapidated RVs on the property. There are random old grills, patio furniture spread out sporadically. Aesthetically it was just not a pleasing place to stay. Hopefully he gets a workamper in there to help clean up the random debris, and lay new stone drives, and such.

Small, quiet, clean. Not a destination campground, but a good base while exploring Mammoth Cave National Park and area. None of the craziness that you have to put up with at a megcampground like Jellystone down the road. Closest campground to the NP visitor center we could see. A small campground, but plenty of room to maneuver. Back-in sites that look like they could accommodate 40’. Our 35’ fit easily with tow vehicle parked in front. All sites are level and grassy including RV and tents. Grass well mowed. Not too many trees, tho some to give tenters respite from the sun. Full hookups available. Large, open, double shower, clean with cool, vintage tiling, tho some will complain that the exterior needs maintenance. Looks like the owners are working hard to spruce up and update the entire park. Separate, clean restrooms. A number of stone cabins at the front of the property, look quaint from the outside, but did not see the interiors to comment. Very friendly and helpful host. WIFi so-so. Verizon cell OK.
