Roberts has been serving the St Pete area for about 60 years. It is mostly annual sights with park models and is 55 plus except for transients. It is a snow bird location. Coming in the winter the park is at full capacity, so the transient sites are tight. The Canadians do rule the roost in February so there are a lot of smokers then. April through December the park is emptier. Nice pool, 2 shuffle board areas, volley ball, petanque courts, pickle ball and lots of activities. We've stayed multiple times with no complaints just warm welcome from the neighbors and staff. Beaches, Tampa and Clearwater are all 20 minutes away and you can walk to shopping and dining.
Kep would stay here again

Yikes! If you want to live in a trailer park, and secondhand smoke doesn't bother you, this is the "resort" you've dreamed of. Sites are so jammed in that you can barely park your toad, and you can forget about extending your awning. Everyone smokes, to the point that we couldn't open our windows at all over the course of three weeks. The day we arrived, leaves were raked into piles at the corners of our site. We assumed they were raked in order to be hauled away. Nope. The leaves remained during our entire stay. Every passing dog peed on them, so our site smelled like the county dump. There isn't a single garbage can in the entire community. One dumpster for everyone, so you're forced to put it in your trunk and drive it over. No doggie poop bags. We've never been to an RV park, even the smallest most run-down ones, that doesn't have poop bags available.
Oh, let's not forget the gun range directly behind the campground. They've done their best to soundproof it with high concrete walls, but to no avail. You'll be barraged by the melody of gunfire for at least 4 hours every weeknight, and a solid 8-10 hours on weekends.
The ownership/staff is nice, but the other campers can be downright mean. We got yelled at twice in the same day ... once because our female dog was peeing, and another camper came over to yell at us to clean up her poop. We explained that she was a girl and had merely peed, even showing her that we had poop bags at the ready when she did poop, but this woman wasn't satisfied. Continued to berate us. Later that day, my wife did a load of laundry. She sat on the chairs outside the laundromat to wait for wash cycle to end. As she's sitting there, a woman storms out and yells about how my wife needs to pay attention to her laundry. My wife apologized, and explained that she had been waiting to change it out but hadn't realized it was done. The woman proceeded to accuse her of not belonging there and threatening to report her to the office because she was trespassing. When my wife said we were camping here, the woman said "You're too young to be here. You came from town."
To our eye, this place survives solely because there are no other options in this area. If we could have found an alternative, we would have bailed.
