This is a former church facility. The new owners have plans to add two more camping areas and turn this into an RV resort.
This was our second stay and we probably won't be back. While $45 for a full hook-up site is a good price, our site was a spot in a field on a dusty dirt / sand road - no trees, no shade. The water pressure and electricity fluctuate. The bathhouse really needs renovation (they say they will be working on it in the next month). There are 2 washers and 2 dryers in the bathhouse ($1 each). Enforcement of campground rules seems to be random. Many of those staying here are longer-term campers. There is a good AT&T cell signal, but there is no WiFi in the campground. Campers are not allowed to use the fishing pier shown on their map, but it's an easy drive over to the Ortona Locks for some great fishing. There is a pool, but campers can only use it when their retreat area is not in use.
There is a Walmart 7 miles east on FL80, a Winn-Dixie 8 miles away in LaBelle and a Publix about 13 miles west. There are a couple of great places in LaBelle for Cuban food, Ana & Cindy's and the Cuban Dely.

“Gorgeous Place, Will Be Nice When Finished”

This is a beautiful place, but I feel like I am paying for improvements that I will never enjoy. We have been here over a week and it has been constant big equipment creating better sites and the road. Dust and noise all day long. Full sun for sites. Pool is nice, but far away from the RV part, and the RV part can’t use it if there are people at the retreat center. We can’t really go over there because of insurance. They are adding shady spots under palm trees- and a nice path/patio nearer the river is planned- but we won’t get to enjoy it. Evidently this was a much cheaper place to stay before this took over- and it it going to be really nice. The bathhouse is going to be revamped totally- but they are taking out the nice screen porch to do it. Laundry is much like state park choices- but that will be redone too. Just wish the price we are paying was for the finished product and not paying for the noisy work being done. 20 minutes to any grocery/gas/shopping

If you are coming in on FL-80, do not use the Fort Denaud swing bridge - it's only rated for 5 tons. To the west, there's the Alva bridge on Broadway; to the east, there's the LaBelle bridge on FL-29 / Bridge St.
