The large campground sign noted in other reviews is still there, but two other signs have been added that clearly state no overnight parking for RVs, tents only. Bummer, probably too many RVers running gennys and locals got tired of it. Don't blame them! Thanks to the Campendium app we were quickly able to locate other options and ... more

Thanks to the Campendium app we were quickly able to locate other options and found a great - free - spot on the river at Tobacco River.

Literally just a park! Great that is free, although donation is recommended. No toilets for those not self contained.

There is traffic noise but not to bad. There are no bathrooms on site at night. You have to walk across to the museum pit toilets. Park garbage overflowing but otherwise a pretty little spot to pull in. Only one or two big rigs would fit the entire area. We had truck camper so perfect for us.

Rolled into Eureka later than expected so pulled in to the Riverside Park for the night. Pleasant enough spot right on the Tobacco River with grass and table. Dump station on site. There isn't an outhouse or bathroom option at the location. Lots of colorful characters hanging out. Trash cans all overflowing. Lots of dog poop in grass.

So as other reviews mentioned a $10 donation sign is present and a money drop box is right next to the parking area. It appears there are (2) fairly level paved spots right at the signs when you enter the park. The area was clean and well kept. It was quiet and well lit. It has a posted (3) day stay limit.

Was told it was an easy ride, did it for a short way and was very easy, but ran out of time. Saw several deer.
