Riverside Park Tent & Trailer Park

If you're making the big through-trip from Sault Ste Marie to New York or Vermont, you'll pass this campground about halfway. It's a good choice for an overnight.

Noise factor depends on how busy it is. It's a popular family destination with a small splash park so there can be a lot of kids and family gatherings. Camp fires are allowed.

The water view of the Ontario River (wide enough to be mistaken for a small lake at this point) is very nice. Sites are grass, with no driveways. Just grass. Pretty level.

The campground is peculiar in that they give you a key ring for your site, containing a transponder for the gate, a water key, laundry room key, and bathroom key. There's a $20 deposit taken for the key ring.

This is a beautiful city park on the banks of the famous Ottowa River. Large and long grass sites with good electric 30/50 Amp and water connection. They do require $20C deposit for water and washroom keys returnable when you leave.

This is a fun place with plenty of space, local kid's games to watch and a beautiful river to sit alongside. You are close to shopping, restaurants and other needed services. Security is good.

7/16: We just completed our third stay at this c/g and each time we are even more impressed. They are close to the city center for shopping and services, the c/g is in the middle (but not too close) to the city's ball fields any they provide a wonderful evening's entertainment, the young people that work there are very knowledgeable and congenial and can help with all you questions.

Tall cottonwood trees shade the campsite and nesrby visiting children enjoy the water park and sprays. This is an enjoyable stop off the road and would be good for a visit for several days.
