We stayed here traveling from Devils Tower to Medicine Bow NF. Good location for a stop. The city of Douglas provides this park on the N. Platte River for free. There is a dump station and water spigot. Also restrooms and showers which were basic, but clean and had good hot water. It is next to a busy road but the noise did not disturb... more
We stayed here traveling from Devils Tower to Medicine Bow NF. Good location for a stop. The city of Douglas provides this park on the N. Platte River for free. There is a dump station and water spigot. Also restrooms and showers which were basic, but clean and had good hot water. It is next to a busy road but the noise did not disturb us much. We were a 15 minute walk to the old downtown and some restaurants. Nice place to sit down by the river.

Free city park in a good location. Just off the highway so there is some road noise but not too bad. Plenty of room for any sized rig here. No electric, but there is a water spigot and dump station. All in all, a great stop along the way if you need a decent stop for a free night or two.

This park is really a surprise. Picnic tables bbqs, free showers. And a path to the river. Lots of shade trees. This isn’t a big park. Wonderful laundry mat just a few blocks away. You can stay for 2 days.

Are coming and going, but we found a place in the shade. Showers were just OK, but they had plenty of hot water. Good cell service and the Starlink worked well. And did I meantion it’s free with a reasonable dump station and water.

We used this as a day stop so that I could work for the day before heading to a harvest host 2 hours away. Free dump, water fill and showers. We were able to reset the trailer for several more days of boondocking. We did not stay overnight but the area seemed quiet enough. We did not stay overnight but the area seemed quiet enough. Some tree cover but we were able to find a spot with open sky for starlink and solar.
Kudos to the city of Douglas for offering an all in one place to stay

Unlike other reviews, we had no problems working remotely from this location, we have 3 internet options and had no problems tmobile works the best here. Also it's a very short drive to other nearby parking lots if for some reason you can't get a signal, so still worth stopping for a free place to camp for the night. Since it's nice a... more

Also it's a very short drive to other nearby parking lots if for some reason you can't get a signal, so still worth stopping for a free place to camp for the night. Since it's nice and free we went to a few local places to help out the community. Thanks Douglas!
BTW Douglas Wy is the real and true first home of the now iconic and ripped off jackalope.

No reservations needed. We called the number listed on Campendium and we’re told it’s first come basis and to park where ever we wanted on the gravel road. Scenic views of the bridge and North Platt river with lots of geese.
Quiet, easy, and free. No hookups, but not needed as it was a cool evening.
