“Cheaters Boondocking”

Reviewed Sep 12, 2017

Overall Rating

Surprisingly, after quite some time on the road full-time, this was the location of our first boondocking experience. This was so far from roughing it, INMO. We have a 38' FW and there was absolutely no issue maneuvering around (and we arrived at night). The parking lot (the area you will be parking in) is in a U shape and can be pulle... more

“Sprinkler mayhem but great spot”

Reviewed Jul 29, 2017

This park is directly off the road but also on the rushing Platte River. We unfortunately arrived on a Tuesday, which is one of the many days they run the sprinkler. There were a few RVs unaffected, but we were more comfortable in a tent so we waited into the wee hours of the morning for the sprinklers to finish and then we pitched o... more

“U Park”

Reviewed Jul 21, 2017

Overall Rating

NAVIGATING: Easy to get to with a few turns off I-25 or HWY 59. GETTING SITUATED: The park was busier than I expected based on the previous reviews (of course, it was a Saturday night). There were two stretches along the fence that looked like we could fit in, so we picked one and were able to get in with a little backing up. T... more

“Wonderful place to stop when traveling!”

Reviewed Jul 14, 2017

We had such a great experience here! Super clean and well kept. Picnic tables, grills and trees line the common area. The kids loved it. Cute town too! We stopped here while traveling from Thermopolis to Boulder. Not far off the highway at all. There is a dump station and it is well patrolled by the area Police. Very quiet other than t... more

“Great! Will always stay here when passing this way.”

Reviewed Jun 30, 2017

Pulled in, saw it was mostly empty, had good level parking space, RV dump and fresh water available. Awesome already. Then we discovered the bathrooms with awesome woodwork and showers.

Folks seem to roll in in the evening and it in the morning, but there was no point when there wasn't room for more. Also has dumpsters.

“Unable to stay”

Reviewed Jun 28, 2017

Wanted to camp here as it was easy access and a beautiful park. Big sing when we arrived "Due to drought NO tents on the grass because of sprinklers"

Kinda hard to pitch a tent on pavement or packed gravel.

Great place if you have an RV though.

This is a great spot. Bathroom is great. River on the side of the park. Noise wasn't bad at all. Cement tables and grills all over. Water and dump for RVs.

“Great free city park option, quiet and very little traffic”

We stayed here on 8/10/16 while making the drive from Fort Collins, CO to Devil's Tower in Wyoming. This was about half way in between for us. It's basically a gravel loop wide enough for RV and car parking on both sides. There is a free dump station near the entrance as well as water to fill up your RV. There were 2 other RVs and ... more
