“Fantastic location and views”
Reviewed 1/27/2021
Went to check it out without the rig looking fir a new place to try. The setting is beautiful and the drive there is gorgeous. There are 12 sites with only 3 or 4 that will accommodate a bigger rig (guessing 30’-35’ max). The last 3 miles were twisty/turney but fantastic views. No cell phone coverage for Verizon.

Only 1 of the sites are on the water, tent only. Sites suppose to all have metal fire rings, however they do not. It is secluded but there are no views from the campsites. Yet regular price $18, with access pass $9. To expensive for nothing. One vault toilet, very clean. Plus a dumpster. I moved early morning to SB Cove.

The sites are in rough shape like boondock sites but cost $10 per night. The drive in is mostly paved until the last few miles which is a maintained gravel road with lots of ruts and bumps. We stayed on a weeknight and there was only one other camper there.

The drive to this reservoir is stunning and the views only get better once you reach the water. There’s beautiful disbursed camping all along the lakeshore, so there’s no need to go all the way to this specific location. We stayed in the “SB Cove” on the north end and loved it. Camped just a few feet from the water! No issues with sand- everything was well packed.
Lots of flush toilets around since there was a day use area as well, which is nice.
No cell service on the lakeshore because of the mountains around you, but we could pick up a bar of Verizon LTE in a few locations on the road. The marina restaurant also has free WiFi.
Problems- we got a lot of conflicting information about camping costs and what is covered by the National Parks annual pass. Highly recommend stopping at the ranger station on your way in if they’re open.
