“Crowded but nice”

Overall Rating

Sites are close together with no vegetation in between. Restrooms are very clean and so are the showers. As of July 2018 they only have one washer and one dryer. Supposed to put several more washers and dryers next year. Staff is very helpful and very nice. A lot of the sites are right on the river. I think a lot of the sites are rented for the summer season. Brasher has IGA grocery store and a few restaurants.

“A convenient stop along Hwy 11 with riverside sites, friendly owners, and reasonable rates for full hookups.”

We stayed one night at Jelly Beans Riverside Campground on our way to Vermont. The owners were very friendly and helpful and it’s clear they work hard and take pride in their campground. Almost all the sites are situated along the riverfront. The spaces are tight however and it took us a couple of tries to get level and have enough room to put out the slide without hitting the power post.

Most of the sites have seasonal occupants and those were a mixed lot. We met some friendly folks, but others were sitting in a group drinking, smoking and heckling people walking by. Reminded me of that group of high school bullies you walk out of your way to avoid – only now they were in there 50-60’s. Lol.

We liked being near the river, it helped drown out the road noise. Would I stay here again? I wouldn’t rule it out, but I’d probably check out other campgrounds in the area first.

We had three bars of Verizon 4G, but used the park WiFi which worked fairly well.
