We stayed one night here and really wished we could stay longer. It was so clean and pretty. We stayed on the C loop in a pull through. The camp host was great and informative. The sites are big and spread out nicely. Most campsites are right on the river. Gorgeous!

This campground is wonderful…. Very well maintained, quiet, sites spaced nicely apart, easy access.
I parked in the loop C FF area On a Tuesday and there were not any people there. I probably won’t stay here again, however, because I had zero Verizon signal

While there, we visited Harriman State Park (just a couple of miles up the road) and did a float trip thru Mack's Inn in Island Park.

This simply put a lovely national forest campground. Loop A follows the river and most of the sites are pull-through, paved, and have sun for a good portion of the day. There are rapids down by sites 16, 18, 20, and 21. The A and B loops are reservable but the C loop (a bit more rustic but perfectly nice in the woods) appears to be FCFS - many sites were unoccupied on Saturday evening. Water spigots were conveniently located throughout the campground and the one near the entrance just as you turn right into the B loop has a hose for freshwater tank fills. There is no dump station but there are two nearby, north for Henry's Fork and south for Ashton Visitor Center. The Mesa Falls Scenic Byway is a lovely drive and the falls are spectacular. Harriman State Park has great MTB trails. T-Mobile was not usable but AT&T was terrific with downloads ranging from 10-28 Mbps and uploads holding at just about 3 Mbps allowing us to stream and work the entire time.

Loop A overlooks the beautiful Henry's Fork River. Loop B & C are private and wooded. Close to Mesa Falls, Island Park and West Yellowstone. Quite and peaceful. If you are looking for a place to swim/tube, this isn't it. Head north to Buffalo Campground. We were last there 23 September and I'd reserved online. When we arrived, they'd closed all but one toilet and were in the process of winterizing the spigots. There was no notification of this on the website. They were discounting fees by 50%, however I'd paid full price. This and the .5mile walk to the toilet, was a little disappointing.

We had a fantastic spot along the river. The view was amazing and the sound of the river at night out you right out. Found a good fly shop maybe 15 minutes up the road which has a great assortment and those guys were very helpful with what’s been working at the time and the fishing was great. The spot was pretty level and did not require any adjustments ( off by like 1/2 inch, close enough ) The spot is paved and has a table and fire ring. The area is quiet and very low traffic but the camp site does fill up. The site post water on the campground and there are several located through the park. There are signs posted on the water that say in big letters don’t use for brushing teeth, dishes, shower and cleaning fish ( go up to it and in much smaller print it says to keep the hose area clean and not to use it for that there) ( easily could be taken incorrectly from a distance. AT&T had 1 - 2 bars of LTE at our spot along the river but I did notice some places within the camp ground had none. The phone was slow at times but was usable and With a phone booster it became 4 bars LTE and quite fast.

I met some friends here in mid July; we had a single family site, but got their trailer, truck, and my van in with no problem ($7 extra vehicle charge). This site was adjacent to the river, and the view was partially blocked by rocks, but the site was really nice and super well-maintained, very private. The river is fast here, so watch the dogs.... Many spots in the campground have great privacy; the end spot A021 is the one to get if you can plan ahead, but all are nice paved spots in the A and B loop. Ours wasn't super level, but we managed. Campground was pretty full, but quiet at night. The secret in this campground, especially if you are tent or van camping, is the C loop, the walk up sites. They were not full, even mid-July. C Loop has some really fantastic sites (dirt, not paved, but beautiful and most are private). The campground isn't that far from the road, but there is really no road noise. It's close to bike and hiking trails in Harriman state park, and a terrific kayak/float from Harriman down to the campsite (just as the rapids start). River level varied a bit day to day, but was great for the kayaks. It's also day-trip-able (is that a word?) to Yellowstone and Tetons. I got a few sporadic texts, but there is basically no cell service here. Regardless, I will be back!

Important: Longer rigs should reserve a spot in the A or B loops (roads paved, large spots). The larger spots and pull-thru spots are mostly reservation-only. Don’t try the C loop with larger fifth wheels and big rigs - not enough room. Smaller rigs may find an open spot in the C loop, which is a gravel road. The C loop doesn’t require reservations from what I could see.
A and B loops are closer to the river and much larger spots.
Even though campground was full by the end of the evening, it was quiet and peaceful. T-mobile was very spotty, had no service most of the time (if that matters to you), a couple texts and a voicemail came through but thats all I tried.
Highly recommend!

Very easy to get to. Our price reflects our senior discount parks card. Our site allowed us to have satellite service. Grounds were well kept as were the vault toilets. Was difficult to find a semi level site. Make sure you have the means to level.

This is a beautiful and quiet campground about a mile off the highway. Several campsites are right on the river. This is near Island Park, ID and fishing is popular here so this campground can be busy, even mid week. The location is convenient to West Yellowstone, and Yellowstone National Park, both about an hour away. I lucked out with a cancellation and an amazing campsite with a view of the river. The campground is clean and tidy. Vault toilets, and the sites are well spaced for privacy. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. The campground is in Lodgepole Pine trees and many sites are shady. My site had morning and afternoon shade with enough sun mid-day to fully charge the solar. It was pretty incredible to fall asleep with the sound of the river right outside my trailer window.
