“Great isolated campground!”

If you are looking for an isolated experience and don't mind vaulted toilets and no shower, then this is your place. The lake is nearly dry but that opens up so much more to see. The camp site is on the upper edge of a steep drop off and there are pools of water below. It was fun to sit there and watch the animals come to water. You have to check in at the office and they will give you a combination to get in the gate. The ranger told me that not too many people want to rough it like that. I don't know, but to have the use of a vaulted toilet is just a few clicks from a penthouse. Great access to moderate hiking, biking and horse trails. I don't think they allow trailers, even though it would be easy access for any size rig. Definitely would go back!
