The campground is part of a beautiful and large city park. The campground itself isn't as nice. It is basically a large well graded gravel parking lot with decent views of the lake. This is now $30. Yuck. Thirty miles down the road is Texhoma park in Dumas, Texas. Free electricity and dump. Much nicer there.

As to our cell service, we actually had 4 bars of 5G on ATT and T-Mobile. The drop-down menu does not let us select anything beyond 4G LTE.

I'm thankful this campground is available. Only two other rigs here. Electric, water, and dump at each site. The water is currently wrapped up in insulation with a bucket duct taped over it. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to dig through it to get to the spigot or not, luckily I still have water in my fresh tank to use.

Nothing fancy; however it is FHU. We got the last open space (#3). Of the eight spaces, six appeared to be occupied by long term campers. Easy hook up and all functioned as expected. We are self contained so lack of amenities was no problem. See more details

Spent the night here on our way north to Colorado. Very easy to find with Google maps, right off 87.
The sites are fairly level, with the surrounding area being gravel. Back in site, but no problem getting our 40' rig in.
Lake is behind the RV and down a hill.
4 bars on our Verizon phones.

In a great location on our trip heading south from CO. Easy to get in to and fairly level. No trees or tables close by but accessible if desired. A nice view of the lake. Could hear trains but not close enough to be too loud. So happy to find these nice little parks on our journeys. Thanks to all the towns that provide them.

There is a restroom closer to the baseball and rodeo area.

Lake Rita Blanca State/City Park - Dalhart, Texas - $15.00 (cash or check only) per night - No Reservations; First Come First Serve only. This was a great find on our journey from Texas to Colorado. The park was a state park at one time, but has been turned over to the City of Dalhart. There are only 10 gravel, fairly level sites, each with full hook-ups and your choice of 20, 30, or 50 amp electricity. There is also a dump station onsite, but no other amenities. Apparently this is a well-kept secret, because we are literally the only ones in the rv portion of the park. There are some trees at the back end of the gravel, but alas they don’t do much for the hot temperature of 103 degrees today. As you might imagine, it is quite. Perfect for a one-night stay for us.

I pulled onto the rock/sand road after dark and after about 100' in from turning off the paved road it was severely washed out to make it impassible in my 23' RV. Along the dirt road there was high grass everywhere and tracks where ATVs had been racing over part of the roads, these were smooth showing a lot of wear but 3' high in some spots. I couldn't get past the first intersection to even make it down to the river to check out the campsites. I did sleep here though and outside of some teenagers making some kind of rendezvous here, it was OK along the road. This morning I went for a walk and apparently the park doesn't exist, as the road to the lake was gated off.
*** UPDATE: **** I read other reviews of this park and apparently my Garmin sent me down a back country road near the south end of the lake instead of the park, because I could see the lake a few hundred feet in the distance but there was a gate keeping people out. So what I think happened is that if you go by these GPS coordinates, you get sent west on 281 off 87 and then told to take an immediate left down a sand/gravel road instead of continuing on a bit, heading further northwest on 281 to access the north west corner of the lake which must have the actual campground. Oh well, I got a free night's stay and a free undercarriage sanding ;-)
Please submit if anyone comes up with the real coordinates of the park because the area referenced with this GPS is a dust/sand/bowl, potential-mud-bog, ATV racing pit.
