“Very nice, right on river.”

I would definitely stay here again. However, $23 seems a bit pricey since there’s no electricity. The Verizon signal was very good but you would need a jet pack if you needed to stream or for good internet.

There are brand new pit toilets here as of 4/21. They are very clean. Nice location to Creede. 3 of the sites are large enough for bigger RVs. Road off blacktop is about 1/2 mile of gravel and some of it is steep. Not many of the sites are level.

There is a portapotty down the road just past the Marshall Park CG at the rafting access/OHV parking. Picnic table and fire ring. We pulled in late Thursday morning and it filled up a short time later. There's a couple good boondocking spots not too far off the highway at Seepage Rd if this is full. There's a dump station in Creede just below the town park with water, $5. There's a nice raft ramp here. The one at the bridge downstream and the one out Middle Creek Rd are not so great. The road in is a little narrow, but fine. No road noise and you can't see the houses across the river so it feels remote. My phone kept saying I had 3 bars LTE of T-Mobile, but it was VERY slow. It and Verizon were fine in Creede.

I got there at about noon on 8/24/20. There are 7 sites. All taken. It was next to a nice river. But my phone did not get any signal. I went to Comstock Campground afterwards.

This was a real treat. We barely fit, so definitely not for a class A longer than our 33 feet, but such a place! The drive to the headwaters of the Rio Grande - the 3rd longest river in the US- is just a short distance away. Would definitely come again if in the area.

Each site comes with its own wooden picnic table (handicap accessible) and metal fire grate. Outhouses are provided (men's & women's separate). We've stayed here on 2 separate occasions and enjoyed it both times. Like the previous review, most if not all the sites have access to the river. Popular spot for anglers. Close enough to town if you wanted to set up camp and drive into Creede to check out the town, stock up, or have a meal.

Nice little USFS campground on the bank of the Rio Grande river. Most (all?) of the sites are within sight and earshot of the river, so although this campground is not far off highway 149, you can't hear the road at all. Very popular with fishermen.
Downsides are about what you'd expect from a free campground: no drinking water, no trash service, etc. The pit toilet is also quite primitive.
Also, the last part of the entrance road is narrow with curves and some steep dips. Large RVs (or those with a lot of overhang) may not do well. And the turnaround at the end of the campground is quite tight; full-size pickups need to reverse to make the turn, which is problematic if you're towing anything.
