Google maps wants you to take the first turn off which is nothing more than an ATV trail! My 2WD truck had to blaze our 30ft camper through it quickly so we didn’t get stuck. Stuff was jostled around everywhere afterwards.
Just wait til you see the docks and the boat ramp and you can pull right in off the main road.
Water is NOT swimmable. It is very much a pond, not sure why they call it a lake.
Can’t hear cars on the road inside when you’re down near the boat ramp.
No cell service but StarLink in screaming here!

Stayed one night after leaving Dinosaur NM. Easy to find, pit toilet available, quiet. Picnic area overgrown but we didn’t intend to use it anyway. Great for an overnight but not much else.

We stayed here one night on our way to another area. This site matched everyone’s reviews. Very clean, quiet and very few other campers (an airstream and one other trailer were parked around the lake, we were all very far apart). We parked near the boat ramp because the site was very level and had a great lake view. We were concerned about early morning fishermen using the boat ramp and disturbing us, but since we stayed on a Sunday night no one showed up before we packed up in the morning. There are restrooms but we didn’t use them. It is directly off the county road but so super easy access, and we had no noise issues because it’s not a high-traffic road.

Not sure how people are getting any signal but there was definitely no service to be had - not even with our booster. So, those getting signal, tell me your secrets!! Very flat. Very quiet. No one was there the entire time we were. We went all the way to the left, down the dirt road. There's a couple spots & they're all big rig friendly.

West side of lake is wide open, east side has three fairly level gravel lots with boat launch and picnic tables. Was quiet at night.

We stayed in the parking lot by the boat ramp but if you keep going past the picnic table area there is a big flat dirt area on the right that is also big rig accessible.

We stopped here for an overnight on the way west. Easy access directly off the main road to the gravel lot. There was another RV parked in the restroom lot area near the picnic tables. We opted to stay in the bigger area in between the restroom lot and boat launch area. There was a fire ring that was filled with trash and beer cans that we did not use. About five fishing boats came and went the evening we stayed and a couple the next morning. We calmly woke up to birds chirping the next morning. The lake and surrounding scenery were beautiful.

Spectacular views, large open area, super fast ATT signal. Very dark at night. Very quiet (other than the occasional vehicle on hwy 62) but we were surprised by the other review because we found this spot just breathtaking and beautiful. The CO mountains on one side and the lake on the other. Access was one of the easiest places ever. It's right off 62.
