One open site was a bit challenging for our parking skill but the owner worked with us to find a place that was perfect. In fact, she couldn't have been more pleasant and accommodating. The restroom was neat and clean. The grounds were well kept, It was a quiet location and even a nearby group of scouts were well behaved. We would definitely stay at Riftrafters again.

Nice campground and great location near New River Gorge National Park and bridge. The main campground is a bit tight, that is why we chose the Outback area (good for smaller RVs). Site 32 was perfect for our RV (18 footer). We had more space between sites, water, and electric. Only drawback was that the walk to the bathhouse was longer, but really no big deal. There was also a pot-a-potty if you didn’t want to take a walk. The bathhouse was older, but very clear. Laundry machines all worked and were a reasonable price. My kids loved the playground and they met lots of other kids. Pet friendly too! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us to get into our spot because it was a little challenging. We loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Nice level concrete & gravel sites. Strong wi-fi & cell signal. Entrance has a steep hill and curve, that I thought might be a problem for big rigs, but there were plenty if them around, so I guess it's not that big an issue. They charge extra for more than 2 people in a site - even kids.

The laundry and bathrooms were very clean. It is only a few miles away from the Visitor's Center at New River National Park at the bridge. We would stay there again for sure. The National Park is long and thin and it takes a couple of days to really see it all, but it's great.

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in the site #22, a FHU, BI site for $48/night. The road in is gravel and the sites are a mixture of gravel, concrete and asphalt. #22 has a concrete pad and was very level. There was lots of shade on the rig which would be great in summer. There is a tight corner coming up the hill into the park. The stone wall on the right could be a problem if you don’t swing a little wide to the left. Also, GPS (both Apple and RV Trip Wizard) stopped short of the park. Just keep going until you see a large sign at the entrance. Sites are kind of close together in the main area. There is another section in the back which is cool, but the turnaround loop goes up a steep hill and has a sharp turn. Might have been a problem with a rig my size. I really liked site #40 in that section. They have a mix of sites with FHU, E/W, 30A or 50A. You don’t choose your site, they pick for you. They escort you to the site and help you get parked. They gave very good directions. The bathhouse is a bit rustic but clean. There was road noise from the highway, but it wasn’t obnoxious. The park had good wifi, 2-3 bars LTE with Verizon and 5 OTA channels. Pretty easy access to New River Gorge National Park. Great hiking and river rafting in season. I would stay here again.

Well
Located for exploring and had better wifi than most parks, but they charge a hefty kid tax (30 per kid per week). The only kid amenity they have is a small playground, and one of the cats was aggressive to the kids. I wouldn’t stay there again for these reasons- lots of other options in the area.

The road was a little tight, but we didn’t have any trouble. A small, clean laundry room was available and they had quarters at the office. The owners were very nice and it was the perfect area to explore the Fayetteville area of New River Gorge.
Cell service was adequate for remote work and streaming. We have AT&T and Verizon as well as a booster. Grocery shopping options available about 5 minutes away. Overall, a very convenient place to stay to explore the area and National Park.

While most spaces are lined up in the traditional manner, many spaces are quite private. Best of all, site was level and I didn't have to unhitch, saving me work. Bathroom was clean, shower hot. Nice walking trails. Woman checking me in was super nice and helpful. I really enjoyed staying here.
