Rifle River Campground & Canoe Livery

We went to the campground mid June to pick a site for our 35ft motorhome, at that time we made a reservation and paid for site 27 for August 9th - 12th. When we arrived on August 9th during a rain storm we found out they gave our site to someone else that day because they had a bigger group where they could make more money. We were offered to go out in the rain to look for another site, most sites were small and water logged when it rains so could not find a big enough site that was not wet. So we were given a refund on our credit card where we had to wait to clear.

Bad campground to make reservations at unless you want to a to take a risk for a bad experience, since you are not guaranteed what you pay for. There are several better campgrounds on the rifle river and some are a lot less expensive that this campground where they all offer the same things.
