Overall Rating
Great sites and the majority of the sites are lakefront or you can access the lake. Grounds were very clean and the hosts and volunteers were very helpful. Clean bathrooms and the dump station had a bathroom next to it so you can wash your hands easily. Would absolutely stay again!

Site 39 is a back in site and is very large and level. Has a good view of a portion of Lake Thurmond. It rained every day we were there, which accounts for some of my dissapointment; however, the biggest problem are ants. They are not the biting kind but were quite an annoyance. Site 39 is a back in site and is very large and level. Has a good view of a portion of Lake Thurmond. It rained every day we were there, which accounts for some of my dissapointment; however, the biggest problem are ants. They are not the biting kind but were quite an annoyance. We did our best to combat them, but be prepared as they will occupy your RV. The staff were friendly and helpful. They have quite a few pull thrus and some buddy sites.

We loved our time at ridge rd! Ants are a tad more abundant here than other places we’ve camped but no biggie and everything else makes it totally worth it! We loved our time at ridge rd! Ants are a tad more abundant here than other places we’ve camped but no biggie and everything else makes it totally worth it! Plenty of waterfront sites, lots of foliage creating privacy between sites, and well maintained! We loved the local community too. “Pair of Jacks” had all the bait, fishing gear, random forgotten things we could ask for and the man across the street was a delight selling fresh cut firewood. Ridge Rd Cafe had delicious lunch when we stopped on our way in!
