No cell phone service. Lovely spot. Evidence of bears. But no issues. Not over crowed. Right on the creek.
camper-808157 would stay here again

We scouted this in the Jeep, and called the rangers to ask how much weight the last bridge is good for. At first they said any RV would be OK, but I pleaded with them to get a number. Also note many of the bridges in Red Lodge were damaged in the June 2022 flooding.
Site was nice and big, quite a few campers there on Labor Day.

Our first pick was closed so we ended up here. But this really is a great spot. We are in a 43' 5th wheel and the turn in was a little tight, but we were fine. Once you cross the bridge (we are about 28000 pounds) you'll see that there is a field that is divided. The right side is reserved for trailhead parking. The left for boondockin... more

We found a great spot, right next to the river. There are maybe 6 other RVs here on a Friday. The river is moving pretty fast and I couldnt hear anyone generator over the sound of the river.
Great starlink spot. Though there is a mountain to the north, I am getting no obstructions. No ATT service.
Easy access to the river for filtering water.

Wherever you choose to park here, get ready for a leveling adventure. Huge rocks everywhere. The best spots are on the left side of the weird rocky slope as you drive in, because they’re right next to the (gorgeous, clear, swift-running) river. Firepits in place. This seems like a spot that is pretty thoroughly occupied throughout the year, and by Friday morning it was getting crowded. It’s very convenient to Red Lodge so a lot of folks seemed to have been there a minute. The trail is toward the top of the hill and it’s lovely.
