There were some locals who came to the area every day, and someone told us one guy previously called the police on someone who stayed the night before, so it is possible that you’ll get kicked out.
Beautiful area on the water. We saw some bald eagles. A couple picnic tables and trash bins are all the amenities. No toilets or fire pits. Verizon LTE signal was full bars and VERY fast. Lots of open space for activities.
Overall, it’s a nice place to stay for a few nights if you don’t mind risking it/stealth camping. Definitely not ideal for tent camping or RVs.

I called the town of Pembroke and was told there is no overnight stay, day use only. There is a posted sign stating that. I was told that the area just before the town park was state land and you might be able to stay at the small turn off area.

If you like to hear water and birds this is the spot. There were people that came to view the falls all day but by dark there was complete silence. There were a lot of mosquitos, but it’s coastal Maine. There are no conveniences other then a garbage can and no real designated camping sites. Just park and camp. There were no signs saying you couldn’t camp.

There are some hiking trails around and not far from other state parks.

There is a big gravel turnaround, I parked on the lawn under big trees for shade. It is a public park. Way off the beaten path, I'm guessing about 6 miles out of town, 4 miles of that on a dirt/ gravel well maintained road. The only signs are hand made with an arrow points Falls, pretty easy to miss. I spoke with the city parks before coming and they were very pleasant.
