May 2018. We were here before and nothing has changed. That's a good thing. 😉 Enjoyed a nice hot shower after a couple of days on the road. Same as before, it was quiet, even though it was pretty full.

As others stated, location is good and it has potential..... but that's about it. No real assigned parking spot and nearly impossible for an RV over 30 feet to level! Also there is a dump station but no water to fill up tank, looks and feels deserted... beautiful and Free BLM land around for sure not worth $10 to dry camp here.☹

“A Spectacular Setting for a Different kind of Park”

Reviewed Apr 26, 2018

This Campground has one of the most dramatic backdrops imaginable! That alone should qualify it for five stars. But....there are the realities of the Campground itself. Cutting to the chase: 1). The layout seems to have been done without much forethought. A lot of random hook-ups scattered about in profusion on mostly lumpy and un... more

The campground has so much potential, it is a tired park. Google maps shows it as a state park, but it is actually a city park. We survived the afternoon winds, parked so our view was of those big red rocks, woke up to a beautiful morning, did a great hike from the park, encountered very nice park workers and our overall Campendium... more

This is one of the most beautiful RV parks I have seen. The rock is impossibly red and you get to sleep right under it. There is a beautiful and amazing hike right at your doorstep to Church Rock. We didn’t hook up to water or electric and it cost us $10. We arrived after the park office was closed and the next morning someone arrived ... more

I have forgotten to take my contacts out and the sun burning them further closed is reminding me of this with every first thing in the morning step I take toward the restrooms. As I fumble to get the key I was provided to work in the lock, my eyes still dry and sandy shut around my desperate for moisture contacts I hear a trotting soun... more

The crows greeted us upon arrival midday. The sites are well spaced, clean and there are plenty if trees for shade. The city does a great job keeping the area ckean. Trash cans at every site.
