“Quite a surprize”

This lovely state park is almost right in town, but it looks like another world. Stopped here for the night, but would certainly stay longer if time permitted. The rate reflects a $2.00 discount, but I'm not sure what it was for. We do have disabled plates, so maybe that was it. Or my gray hair. Our site was a 50AMP pull through near t... more

“Quiet and nice hiking”

We stayed at Red Rock Canyon State Park 5/9/17-5/11/17. As others have noted, there is a very steep hill as you enter the park and we took it very slow going down with our 34-foot fifth wheel. It was mid-week and the park was quiet so we did not encounter any traffic issues going down the hill but two vehicles would likely not be abl... more

It's not too far off of I-40 and it is right outside a great small town with many amenities, including: gas stations, convenient stores, restaurants and a grocery store. Getting into the park is a little scary, just because the entrance road is really ste... more

“A quiet getaway with hiking and climbing trails”

Red Rock Canyon is a hidden gem. Drive down the steep road into the canyon and you'll be totally surprised and delighted. It's only a few minutes south of Interstate 40 an hour west of Oklahoma City. It will be a regular weekend escape for us.
