“Great for pot smokers and junkies, worthless camp hosts”

Reviewed May 04, 2019

Overall Rating

I stayed here 10 days, would have stayed the whole 14 but it was such an unpleasant experience we bugged out early. First, it is an extremely expensive campground for the value you get. It is not much more improved than dry camping. Pit toilets, no showers, and water spigots with dubiously drinkable water. It is a primitive spot basica... more

We were very excited to stay here on our 30 day trip to the Southwest. We were disappointed in the AZ State Park system as they do not stay current with the cancellations. Many of the sites with the "shelter/ gazebos" were open due to cancellations. The "party" next to us was over the maximum number of vehicles and the 8 guys partied w... more

This campground is nice and clean. I saw employees raking the gravel around the restrooms. Camp hosts Dennis and Barbara were easy going, friendly and very helpful. My one gripe? Pay an additional 15 bucks per car or 10/5 bucks per motorcycle/bike/hiker to visit the park across the road. Showers available at various places in Las V... more

Just west of Las Vegas. 10 minutes from Summerlin. It has no electric, almost no cell service and pit toilets but it is beautiful.

“So Close (to Vegas) But So Far”

What a great place to begin our adventure. This BLM campground touted large sites, polite neighbors and clean toilets. No hook-ups but only $10 with the geezer pass. Arrived at night and spent the next day exploring Red Rock Canyon.

Park is closed from Memorial Day to 1 October because of excessive summer heat. Yet lots of people still camp overnight along Highway 159 leading into Park on Nevada Department of Transportation property at no cost. Boondocking only along highway and it is less than two miles from campground and at the entrance to the park via public... more

We stayed her on Easter Sunday, figured most folks would be headed out so timed our arrival for about an hour after check out. Drove up to a home made Campground Full sign. We found plenty to do from this nice BLM campground just down the road from the entrance to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. While this campground will appeal mostly to those who are tent camping or traveling in smaller rigs, we did see several 30-ish foot rigs that had found suitable spots. There are no hook-ups here and no... more

“Peaceful campground for smaller trailers, RVs, and tents”

Reviewed Apr 14, 2016

Our intention was to nab one of the 5 designated RV campsites... of which 3 were available but none were appealing. The sites are basically around a lonely gravel cul-de-sac, an unlevel one at that. So we drove through the main campgrounds and found several sites big enough for our 28ft Airstream and our TV. We were much happier there.... more
