Red house restaurant has excellent food. Great cycling but no Verizon coverage. Not even to make a call.

Check-in takes at least 5 minutes each, so if you are arriving on Friday expect to wait. Campground is tight with many cars parked very close to the paved road. Cars go both ways on a road wide enough for one vehicle. One dump station for 125 sites. Garbage is near park entrance about 3 miles away from campground.
Price reflects $5 charge for out of state guests. Not worth the $32/day cost.
This is an older campground, some sites have trees in between, some do not. Some sites are hard to get into especially if you are over 30 feet. Cars parked on the edge of road made it more difficult.
Get water at the dump station on your way in as spigots in the campground had cars parked in front of them. Site B14 was fairly level but most sites look to be sloped.
Nice area for hiking and a large lake for kayaking and fishing. Nice park store, but laundry room was closed.
NY state parks check in and out times are ridiculous, stated as 10 AM out and 5 PM in. It was not enforced at this park.
2 bars of AT&T service and no HDTV channels.

Nice state park. Our site was clean and plenty of room for 5th wheel. Some sites are smaller. Electric only, but community water right next to us. No Verizon cell service.

This campsite was very roomy, nice and level, near water and bathhouse. Had our own bear box, vey handy. No place to get rid of garbage until we were on our way out of the park.

Stopped overnight just a school age families were starting to show up. Because it was hot and humid, I asked for an electric site. Power is 30/50 and seem strong for an old-style park like this. Lots of stone structures, a pretty lake for paddling and fishing, and later swimming. Miles of paved bike trails. I saw some big fifth wheelers but no bus-type rigs: many popups and tents.
I rated this low because of the many unlevel sites, the old restrooms/showers (and this was on a low use day), and the feeling that from mid-June to Labor Day, this place is a zoo. The bike paths, restrooms, and even the lake are pretty undersized but it is great for family camping.
I got a so-so AT&T signal - better than at many state parks.
