We enjoyed a couple of nights camping while visiting family in the area. We first camped at Red Hill SP 50 years ago on our honeymoon and have returned several times over the years. The park had a major investment over the last few years in the roads and parking lots and really looks amazing. The road around the lake offers a really pleasant loop for walking.

Overall Rating
Shared water, electric only 2 lane single dump station. Some spaces are really tight between the trees and if you can get a spot next to a water spicket you can tap it with a Y so you’re not hogging it for others and use your portable tank.

This is a small state park but does have over 100 sites. There are some sites that can handle the largest rigs but most are for medium sized rigs. All sites have power and there is a dump station with potable water. Most sites are 30 amp but there are some 50 amp sites on the Lakeside loop. There is a really nice small lake but no ... more
This is a small state park but does have over 100 sites. There are some sites that can handle the largest rigs but most are for medium sized rigs. All sites have power and there is a dump station with potable water.
Most sites are 30 amp but there are some 50 amp sites on the Lakeside loop. There is a really nice small lake but no beach that I saw.
While we were there they were upgrading the sites. When we first pulled in, it was a bit hard to find the sites as the gravel was kind of scattered and the sites were not very level. But while we were there, they were installing new gravel they were leveling and packing. This made a huge change for the better in the quality of the sites.
We just spent the night so we didn't explore too much but there were miles of hiking and several playgrounds for the kiddos. Cell service was very good and no trains or expressways so it was quiet.
