Empty. We were the only camper here in late August. Clean, little road noise but not a big deal to us. Great cell signal service. Fit my 20ft trailer in here just fine but not big rig friendly. Used our senior pass for 50% off.

Very nice place. As mentioned before, right near the highway so lots of traffic noise. A great place in a pinch.

This campgrounds (road) is located on a hill. Traffic is non-stop, and semi traffic is brutal. Even more brutal, those semi drivers engage their Jake brakes the run down the hill, and it's loud.
On the bright side, the pit toilet is one of the nicest I've ever seen! It's definitely storm worthy.
13 small camp sites, no long RVs are going to fit on these gravel pads. Garbage available, one pit toilet. Permanent non-moveable picnic tables at each site. No electricity or water. $10.00 during the camping season, no charge to stay off season. Steep ridges to climb. The Nebraska National Forest is just a stones throw away with endless hiking trails.
I really want to give a 5-star rating; it's simply too noisy.

Nice wooded campground.
A bit tight with 33’TT, but there are a couple of pull through sites that work.
WARNING! Google maps takes you to the wrong place.
The only entrance is where the Red Cloud Campground sign is!!!
Close to Highway so truck noise. Not too bad, but some.

One of those is at the pay station as you enter the campground. The second is site number 10. You can back into some of the other sites with a small TT. Most of the sites are suitable for tent camping only. The campground is easy to access, because it is right off the highway. It is a little noisy, but bearable.

This is a great spot since it's only a few minutes from Chadron State Park. The downside was that we only had one bar of Verizon voice and the 4G was pretty slow

We stopped here to avoid driving into a severe thunderstorm. It's a small campground where many sites will require leveling. A nearby vault toilet was clean and well cared for (except for the camper who smoked in it). There is a small trash can plus recycling for aluminum cans and plastic bottles. You hear the traffic on US Rt 385 but it quiets down after dark and is only a two-lane highway. There is no potable water here so be sure you come with what you need. We had an adequate Verizon signal and an excellent AT&T signal. This campground was very quiet. Never heard a generator perhaps because most sites have enough sun for solar gain and some shade for comfort. The rates will probably go up in 2020. We got 50% off on the 2019 rate of $5. The state campground just down the road is very pricey but has showers, some plug-ins, trails, etc. This campground is an excellent option if you're just passing thru and don't need all the extras.
