Facilities were clean, cozy and the showers were hot. Warmer months look fun for kids and dogs with playgrounds and dog park. Short bike ride to town where there are restaurants, markets, shops, etc. and the deer/elk looking wildlife roaming around everywhere. Brrrr, if this is late March, I'd hate to see December/January, but these are some good friendly folks!

The weather included very high winds and brutally cold temperatures. Campers had to come with their own water. The night we stayed there was only one other rig. Not too many people crazy enough to travel in that weather. Glad the park was there!

A wheel bearing issue forced us to make a same-day online reservation to stay here. The campground is located just north of I-80, just a few blocks away from the highway, so there is some road noise, though the near-constant wind muffles it a bit (campers are advised not to deploy their awnings because of the wind). Both the interior roads and the site pads are gravel, while the sites themselves are mostly dirt with a few patches of grass. We had to switch sites during our stay: both (27 and 5) were fairly level, though we did put a board under the driver’s side wheels. Most of the sites are pull-through, with a few back-ins near the southern end of the park, and they all have picnic tables. The hookups are in the standard places, and the spigots were both insulated and heated. The campground also has a few cabins and tent sites. There is a community pavilion next to the tent sites with picnic tables and outdoor sinks.
Most of the amenities are located in and around the office building. The office has a small store with souvenir items. The laundry room is accessed from the north side of the building. The multi-user bathrooms and the single-user shower rooms are located in the back of the building, and open out onto the small playground. There is a ladder toss set up on the southern side of the office building, and beyond that is a splash pad area, though it was not in operation during our stay. A bit further away, along the gravel road leading in and out of the campground, are the propane refill station, the dump station, and two dumpsters.
The enclosed dog run is also in the vicinity of the office. The fence is about 4-foot high with a single gate, and the surface is mostly dirt and sand. There are a few other places on the outskirts of the park to walk dogs where the gravel gives way to dirt and desert shrubbery.
In terms of cell service, the best speed I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was 70Mbps down and 35 up, so we were able to streaming video without much of a problem (we did have some buffering on our last night there when the campground was full). The best speed I got on my AT&T smartphone was 65Mbps down and 16 up.
This KOA is owned by a family, and they were very patient with us as our original 3-night booking extended into 4 and then 5 nights because we were waiting for our new bearings to arrive. We had to move sites on the last day of our stay because they had promised all of the full hookup sites to a large tour group coming in (the site we moved to only had water and 30amp electric).
We would stay here again if we needed a campground in the area.

This is a great place for an overnight stop or possibly a couple days. The area is high desert so pretty much rock and a few trees. The spaces are level. The owners are great and are working on improving the campground. There is a Walmart nearby.

That isn’t the fault of the campground owners. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They are fairly new owners and trying to make the place better. The sites are fairly close but not crammed together. The utilities were good and the Wi-Fi was very good. It is just off the interstate so there was a little noise but not terrible. Our site was easy to get into and level.

The campground is perfect for a 12-18 hour stay. Very plain, but clean. Friendly hosts who checked us in and another to drive us to the site. Absolutely nothing to do in the KOA, and right along the interstate so quite noisy, thus the reason for wanting to leave after only an hour. Would stay again if in need.

We had to stop here because our first choice didn't have cell signal. Checked in late at night, found an envelop by reception and parked. Site was leveled but with water and electricity hookup. All gravel, clean and minimum landscaping. However, be aware it's right by the highway and there is constant road noise. Like all night long!... more

If you have to have hookups by all means stay here. Otherwise boondock at little America or a pull out. Earplugs won't help here.

This is one of the friendliest places and helpful. Even though this is right off the highway it was great. Gravel sites, great local tv selections and WiFi. All the staff are awesome! Would definitely stay here again.
