Great inexpensive base camp to explore the area. Close to Ensenada & La Bufadora. The showers are a bit scary looking but warm up top. The one on the lower level is cold. Catalina (may have butchered her name here) is nice and speaks English. She’s only there every other week. The water is murky and shallow but you can (I did) paddle ... more

Catalina (may have butchered her name here) is nice and speaks English. She’s only there every other week. The water is murky and shallow but you can (I did) paddle out to the ocean. Beware of low tide! There were only 2 spot in the upper area with hook ups when I was there. Mostly full of full timers and trailers for rent. This campsite isn’t good for big rigs. They let me park my 16’ trailer in the day use area by the water (no hook ups). It barely fit. A bit noisy with road noise & the occasional party but bearable me. Would stay here again.

“Nice location but noisy”

I had to angle my 26’ travel trailer in to fit the lot and thankfully the lot next door was empty so I had somewhere to put the truck. The price for full hook up, 800 pesos for 3 day or 267 pesos/day was a bit more than I was used to but reasonable when compared up north.
The owner was very nice, the long term residents very helpful and the WIFI worked awesome.
After 45 days of boondocking around the Baja I may have experienced a bit of RV park culture shock but the noise from the heavy equipment working was a bit much.

A bit out of the way if you are wanting to visit Ensenada, but if you are like me and staying out of the larger metro areas is a goal, then here you go. The park itself is quiet and clean, with views of the bay from many of the back-in sites. Each site comes with power and electric (20amp) and there are bathrooms and showers available in the campground. The owner provided us with the password for the free Wifi, not that it worked (as has been the norm in Baja). Easy access to the water if you want to play or fish.
More than a few people are full-time residents here, but they caused no problems to us "campers".
