This place was great. A little pricy but was worth it for the secluded site I had with full hookups plus cable. Scoped our a few other RV parks and none were as nice as this one. They only had a 50 amp site left as I booked pretty much as I pulled into town on a Friday around 4pm. The person who answers the phone was really nice and told me I would need to get a 30-50 adapter but found out when I hooked up the site also has a 110 GFCI outlet which I could have used since I already had that adapter. Not big. Sites are well spaced and most are kinda surrounded by trees so it seems like you are by yourself. My site was a little tight and tricky to back into but got into it with not to much hassle. We had been in the road for over two weeks and this was our last stop on the way home from out 9 state 4K road trip so we were looking for some rest. Daughter was able to have some fun at the playground with the many other kids there before we went in For the night. WiFi didn’t work inside my trailer which kinda sucked cus we were kinda wanting to relax and watch a movie. The site did have cable but I didn’t have coaxial cable to hook in so we just went to bed. All and all a little pricey but great sites spaced well if you get the good ones and really quiet despite being just off the 101. I’d stay here again and would for sure recommend it if you font mind spending a little more for a nicer park.
Gravel pad, laundry on site.

This was my families first camping trip with our new trailer and we couldnt be more pleased that it was here. The staff is so incredibly friendly. The site are almost perfectly level and freshly rakes and clean. you are fairly close to your neighbors but there is enough trees around to feel like you were in your own little spot. you are camping amongst young redwoods and its so beautiful. They have someone that drives around at night to make sure all is well. once quiet time comes it is really quiet and peaceful. as we were leaving the guy that patrols during the day gave us a big wave and after dumping at the dump station we drove past our site to leave and he was already out there raking it out and clearing out the firepit. The people that take care of this place really care. Not to mention you are minutes from amazing hiking amongst the redwoods in the jebediah state park and the coast is breath taking. we took advantage of the sunny day after our hike and spent the last hours of our day at the beach playing in the sand while our daughter played in the waves. we will def be back to stay at this park. There are kids everywhere playing and riding bikes its so family friendly.

It's a very wooded park and clean. There are some permanent residents here and their trailers are pretty run down.
The staff was very nice. The bathrooms were clean but the laundromat needs new machines. I would not use them. They were extremely old and not all working.
Cable, 50 amp FHU. Wifi was too slow to use.
ATT 60+ d/l, Verizon 9+ d/l unboosted. No T mobile.
This is an easy off the hwy but set far back enough to not be affected by road noise. There's plenty of shopping nearby in Crescent City.
I think it's probably the best choice for this area but it's not a destination park.

We enjoyed the campground even with our unmet expectations. The lure for the campground said the sites were spacious and private but when we saw ours it was neither. There are several sites, near the entrance which are lines up with little privacy between them and not at all like the majority which are set among the trees and in some cases blocked from others. That said, we not only have new friends (our neighbors on one side) but we're perfectly happy here. There is a STRICT 5 MPH speed limit (one warning, then you are OUT) and a number of requests not to walk in the private property that abuts or the mobile home park on the other side. It was not a problem since we found there was plenty of room to walk our dog and cat. What was REALLY nice was there on the posts by the bathrooms, laundry room and office were "pet hitches" to hang the leash. There is also a dog bath area with an elevated platform.
You need to have reservations and if arriving when the office is closed they will be posted on the door. Register the next day. They were full on the weekend when we were there in late July. Unless the office is open ( and they had closed early the day we arrived) you cannot "walk in".
The laundry has two w/d for $1.50 (w) & $1 (d for 30-45 min) and is clean. The bathrooms are immaculate and the showers are wonderful. Wonderful pressure, large changing area with a place to hang your clothes and towel without them getting wet and a nice mat outside the shower stall. The stalls I think might be a bit small for a large man and the showerheads are low for a tall person but neither would prevent one from using them.
They are convenient to Tolowa Dunes (10 min) Crescent City (15 min) and Jeremiah Smith NF (20 min) as well as a number of other sites. Just south of Crescent City is the Enbert Beach hiking trail (sorry no dogs)
The one problem we had there was electricity. I had not turned off our inverter when we arrived so I did not notice when we went off electricity and onto battery but our 3rd morning I noticed that the panel lights were out. A call to the office resulted in them coming immediately but after testing the lines there seemed to be electricity coming from the pole. Luckily (since my imaginings of thwarted plans and expensive electric system repairs were causing me to freak out) the park manager kept investigating and determined that it was the pole that was the problem. He replaced the entire panel and voila we had electricity again. Problem solved. I suspect, since someone else mentioned an electric problem, that either their watering of the grass or age of the panels may be creating problems in some of the poles but if you experience problems replacement of the panel may be the best solution.
They have WiFi through Tengo Internet which was OK but not screaming fast or constant. We had both ATT and Verizon signals so it isn't necessary unless you are limiting your data. In that case the WiFi would be sufficient. Once you sign on to Teng you can use it in any area that provides it, BTW, although it may not always be free.
It was a late July weekend when we were here and there wAsa bunch of kids. Every evening they would play on the playground and the sounds of children enjoying making new friends and enjoying their summer freedom were joyful to my ears. At 10 PM everything was silent.
There is no tent camping here.

The first time we were in a secluded back in site surrounded by trees and ferns - beautiful and private. The power to this site was weak. Breaker kept tripping.
The second time we were in an open back in site close to the entrance. Location of our fire pit was convenient for getting to know our neighbors.
Laundry facilities were small.
There is one small trail on the back side of the park, but not a lot of places to walk dogs.
Beautiful drive to hiking trails, NP ranger station, and dog-friendly hiking trails.

We consider this more of a campground than resort: heavily wooded with dirt roads, gravel sites and fire pits at each site. This worked well for us as we prefer a natural setting. The park was larger than we expected and our 30 amp back-in site was quite large which was nice. The staff was very friendly. There's a nice playground for kids, and a dog washing station but it's only suitable for small dogs. Our AT&T didn't work, but Verizon worked well. The campground WiFi unfortunately was Tengo Internet and was spotty: the WiFi signal was strong, but it usually was extremely slow and sometimes usable, so we ended up relying on our Verizon hotspot much of the time. The park was large enough to take our dogs for pretty long walks without having to leave the campground. Our site was in the farthest section from US-101 so we didn't get much highway noise, but other sites are much closer and have some highway noise. We visited in May of 2015.

Stayed here July 8-9, 2015. We paid extra for a premium pull-through site. The check-in process was straight forward. Our site was located just a couple hundred yards from the office, but we had to drive through the entire park to get to it. This took awhile as the roads are not very well marked. The layout of the park seems to be built around the trees so it is sort of convoluted. The interior roads are gravel and were somewhat dusty.
Our site was very nice with some very tall trees and some huge old redwood stumps all around. The road was to our back with a nice private area in front. The full hookups worked fine and included cable TV. They are dog friendly and our two Labs enjoyed walking around on their leashes. I didn't use the showers or restrooms so I can't say anything about them, but the laundry facilities were less than adequate. I also heard some complaints about the lack of hot water. There was a very nice common area with lots of games including horseshoes, badminton, tetherball and so on.
I really liked the location of this park. Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park and the Smith River are just a short drive away, and Crescent City is 8 miles away and has most everything you need including a cheese factory downtown. There is also a Casino within a short drive if you like that sort of thing. The town of Brookings, Oregon is about a 20 minute drive and has a Fred Meyer store too.
