Lots of road noise from the highway that runs along the back side of the park. Not much privacy because the trees are pretty thin, but but sites are fairly decently spaced. Only *one* site (25) is a pull through, it's not super level, and it has no hookups. Dump station (free) is in a side road off the exit and only fits one RV at a time, no room for a queue, but we never had anyone approach while we were using it. The road to the trails washed out several years ago and hasn't been repaired, so if you'd like to try the loop hikes, you have to drive around to the other side of the park. Sprint hotspot read "roaming" with 2-3 bars, but data connection was fairly solid for realtime chat on Slack, FB, email, Pokemon Go, etc. Got 1 bar intermittently on our T-Mobile phones. T-mobile signal is definitely stronger on the trailhead side, so a range extender would go a long way here. Trash goes into one big dumpster with no separate recycling. Didn't try the bathrooms as we were trying out our fancy new RV toilet.

We absolutely loved it here. The kids had fun exploring the dirt bike paths in the woods and the river. Bathrooms were rustic but were camping so that’s ok. Only complaint was how tight it was to park the trailer.

Most of our Memorial Day camping trips, In State Parks, are filled with noisy kids, drunk college co-eds and the mix of Lynnard Skynard and Lee Greenwood blasting through the air long after dark. This park is getting a 4 simply because there didn’t seem to be any of that. But, the rangers really only get a 2 start based on this trip. With the one large bathroom under construction, a campground of 48 sites fully reserved with kids, families, and more were left to use 2 flush and 1 pit toilet. They were almost always out of paper! Showers take state park tokens and are clean and private. Great trails. If you stay, you MUST visit the Doty store.

The Rainbow Falls aren't much to look at but the campground is nice. Only 4 "Economy" sites at $25 right at the entrance. The "Basic" sites are the same as economy but a little further in and $30. Only 4 "Economy" sites at $25 right at the entrance. The "Basic" sites are the same as economy but a little further in and $30. Partial hookup sites are $35 and Full hookup is $40. You have to look at the little icons on the site post. I tell you this because it's not obvious and takes some figuring out.
There are 3 sites for walkins/hikers/bikers separate fro the rest of the loop.
Tent sites along the creek are pretty nice.
Sites for horse trailers and horses.
A nice group camping area.
All sites are shaded and somewhat overgrown with a picnic table and fire ring.
Token showers and bathrooms. The showers in the Day Use area are nicer. Trash bins and aluminum can recycling.
Dump station is free for guests or $5.
Day use area near falls is nice and requires a Discovery Pass.
There is a multi-use trail across the road which is nice and wide and flat pea gravel surface. It goes on for at least 20 miles. Good for a bike ride with nice country scenery.
I think it's a bit pricey for what it is.
It was almost empty when I was there. Probably because there isn't a single sign that indicates there's a campground.
With a lot of people, it could get smoky.
Verizon said it was roaming here but never connected to anything. Other people were using their cell phones so maybe AT&T?
