We are visiting the Grand Canyon and stayed here1 night. Wish we had stayed 3, but had booked 2 nights somewhere else. It’s a very nice park and in a quiet location. We are in a small camper, but didn’t feel crowded by all the big rigs.

The reservation over the phone was quick and the staff was very friendly. Check-in was well done. Our package was at the front, we signed a form and put it a box.
We didn’t use any amenities, but what we could see was in good condition. The park itself is mainly gravel with some grass area. The site was level, hook ups conveniently located and in good condition. I found the space between sites to be reasonable.
I saw some reviews complain about noise including the train (did you even notice the name of this place?). I’ve heard the train once and can see it from my site. Nice. There happens to be a rodeo going on nearby, so the pleasant sound of horses. I’m good with that. Nothing bothersome.

Sites are level gravel, utilities functioned as expected and park was far enough off of the highway that traffic noise was not a problem. There was a bit of rail noise but the name of the park should be adequate to prepare you to accept that.
We would probably stay here again, didn’t see anything in the area to make us think booking this park was a mistake.

Their kids park was great for our 6 yr old and the fire pit was nice and big with plenty of wood. Site was level and clean. The park is well lit at night but not obnoxiously so. Laundry room was nice but one of the dryers sounded like it was on its last leg but got the job done. One negative is the tracks are right behind it and there is a train that rolls thru around 11 pm or so. Not too big of a deal to not stay again.

Cell service was good didn't need out WeBoost. The wifi was spotting but the best we have had by far. Mini golf and playground was a blast for the kids. The laudry room was clean and well priced. Noise : just be aware that you are railside, wasn't too bad usually quiet after 9pm. The kids loved waving at the conductors of the trains.

Date of stay: Sept. 27-29, price reflects military/veteran discount...While we don't spend a lot of time at the pricier RV parks, every so often we need to, and we really enjoyed this one. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The sites are not large, but they are level and easily accessible with FHUs. The layout of the buildings is a bit odd, but they are so cute with a pet spa, fitness center, showers/restrooms, outdoor grills and fire pits, two hot tubs, and a sauna. The laundry room is small, but with great prices $1.25/wash, $.50/45 mins dry and it really dries the first time. The big barn (all buildings are done in the same rustic style and very well-maintained) is where the daily continental breakfast is served, offering fresh-made waffles, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, instant oatmeal, OJ, tea, and coffee. The entire upstairs of the barn is a recreational space with ping-pong, billiards, darts, a reading corner with fireplace, games/puzzles, and a lovely view. As the park's name suggests, it borders the railroad tracks for the train that runs up to the Grand Canyon, but it doesn't run frequently or at night, so it's never a problem. Plenty of OATV. We didn't use the cable TV or WiFi.

This campground was cute and well-appointed, but it was also cramped and quite loud. We expected the noise from the train as well as traffic on I-40. What we didn't expect was the loud sounds of the gravel inside the park (even just people walking on it) as well as the nearby excavation site. The park is in the industrial part of town and just down the road from the fairgrounds. The pull-thru sites are quite level, but are very close together and rather short. One neighbor had to park their truck extremely close to our slide and the other neighbor's vehicle was right by our picnic table. The park does offer some great amenities including hot waffles and cereal in the clubhouse for breakfast. We also enjoyed the free pet wash (aka pet spa)! The fitness center and clubhouse are impressive and the laundry, though small, offered some of the lowest prices we have seen yet ($1.00 to wash; .$.50 to dry). The wifi was almost unusable, but Verizon and AT&T signals were strong.

We stop in on our way back to Pennsylvania from the west coast 2 years ago. This is not one of those fancy, smancy RV Resorts but it definitely is a great place that has a lot to offer. The staff was terrific from the time we first hit the front gate. Could not be more welcoming. The RV park itself was very clean and quiet. We did not get to take full advantage of all the amenities they had to offer. We did take advantage of a great breakfast, fellowship with staff, owners, and other RVers that was provided for all of the RVers.
The staff also arranged a really great day trip on the Grand Canyon Railway to the South Rim of the grand Canyon for us and it was absolutely great.
We definitely enjoyed our time at Railside RV Ranch and look forward to doing it again.

We picked this RV park for three main reasons
1. Free shuttle
2. Free breakfast (coffee after up all night w infant YUMMM)
3. 2 hot tubs
Well... after bundling up myself and my infant up to face the cold at exactly 6:55 to go get some coffee at the ‘continental breakfast’- NADA. Nothing is open!!!! Ghost town.
Come to find out these things are only offered seasonally. ?!?
Extremely disappointed.

I tried 2 days to make a reservations and no answer. Kept getting answering machine and left 3 messages. No call back. The answering machine said they had availability after Sept. 27th and I was trying to make reservations for the beginning of Oct. The website has no way of making reservations online so you are at the mercy of calling. Good luck!
