Railroad Pass Hotel Casino & Travel Center

As other reviews have said there is quite a bit of noise. Personally, I can sleep through just about anything. That's because they cater to trucks. They recently opened a new truck lot which was packed. I have never been asked to pay to stay and have stayed here several times over the last 6 months. On site is a casino, a travel store, and it looks like they are building a new restaurant. Parking lot is on a slight incline so not level. But close enough for one night, I think. Some rigs use levels, some don't. They also have large trash cans around the lot. I don't use the dump station. $25.00. Made the mistake of getting propane. They don't post the price and I found out at the register that it was $7.00 a gallon. Everywhere else was $3.99 so I just presumed. Never again! Their coffee shop in the casino has terrific steak and eggs. Actually, all of their food is great and reasonably priced. Great service. The convenience store is pricey, but they are taking advantage of their location like a lot of places do. It is my go-to spot when I have my RV worked on or serviced in Boulder City. I will definitely be back.

Stayed one night on road trip to California. It was free for us. We never saw anyone who asked us to pay. There were other campers parked in the lot also. Felt safe. There is a travel stop convenience store as well as large bathrooms right across the parking lot. There is a dump station however we didn’t use it so not sure about the cost. It was noisy. It’s a truck station and casino. We were able to use our generator. Also has Tesla charging stations.

OMG there is so much noise on this spot.

We came late last night and had to squeeze in to at spot. We managed and met some nice neighbors 😜
We ate a late dinner and went to bed. But we haven’t had much sleep because of the commotion, constant and loud humming sounds from engines, motorcycles and generators and bumping and dumping sounds 🫣😩
But it’s a nice spot, it’s convenient and it’s clean.

Other reviews said you could stay 4 nights and I hope that’s true because we’re entering our 3rd night with two kids and dog. Ate at Capriotti’s (LOVE the Bobbie, which is Thanksgiving in a sandwich; also had a nice chicken salad) and Sbarro pizza for the kids. Spent one day at Las Vegas Children’s museum, one day touring The Strip. Resupplied all across Henderson.

The reviews from the few places in Vegas that allow kids all suggest major security/safety issues and noise from unruly revealers you’d expect in Vegas. Race cars all night, etc. we had no such issues; it sounds like any rest stop with maybe a little less highway noise, so if you’re okay with the chorus of diesels humming at a rest stop you’ll be fine here.

This place felt VERY SAFE and we were parked in front of the Tesla charging row—I’m sincerely not concerned some Tesla driver is going to rob me, lol.

Easy to find. We stayed for 4 nights with no issues. Only left because we need to dump and didn't want to pay $25 when for double that we could stay at an RV park with amenities. This place has little. The travel plazas bathrooms where half broken. The grounds are kept clean. In a pinch it is free parking and was better than a plain rest area. But there is alot of truck traffic and running gennarators.

After traveling across the country, our original camping plans fell through once we arrived to Nevada. In a panic, we started calling every place in Vegas for availability, with no luck due to NFR week. We found this rest stop Casino and the security guard was so kind. Parking was free and the gas station had $12 showers, or $19 for team showers. They have food there and the casino also has a Sbarro. It wasn't as noisy as I expected and there was no rush for us to leave. We felt very safe and now know where we can park if we are ever in the area again.
And yes, we were able to use our generator and pull our slide out.
