Water nearby but we weren't there long enough to partake, but it looked quite inviting with all the kayaks, canoes and paddleboards on the water. No issues getting our 19" camper into either of the sites we reserved.
Sorry I don't have a lot to say about the park as we mostly used it to pass on through to our actual destination.

We were in the area to visit Pittsburgh and this was the closest park we could find. This is a huge, beautiful well-maintained park. Tons of campsites, hiking trails, lake with boat rentals. Electric only sites, but very clean and well-spaced sites.
Note: Only sites in loops C and F allow pets!!! We almost made a reservation in another loop before catching this.

Raccoon State Park is a nice park about 45 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. We were here to visit Pittsburgh, so the unfortunate part was that we were so far away and there is no easy way into the city. Expect 45 - 60 minutes to get to the city. This park is really in the middle of nowhere - there is nothing nearby. You will need to travel about 25 minutes to get to a good grocery store. So be prepared if you are here to visit the city.
The park has some steep hills to get to the campground, but we were able to manage them in our 39 foot fifth wheel.
Our site was large enough for our fifth wheel and level enough.
The park is very quiet, although it is on the flight path of the airport, so you do get planes flying over head throughout the day and into the night.
We did not have to use any of the facilities so I cannot comment on the bathhouses.
Verizon coverage was good and usable - which is always a nice plus when you are in a state park.
We were here at the end of the season, so it was very quiet and not very crowded.

There are things we liked about this campground and things we didn't. We completely agree that the previous review of the bath house was our experience with grossness. The only thing we could add is that the bath house was poorly lighted in addition to being gross.
We also had the experience of the planes as you are on the path to the Pittsburgh airport (but in a very rural setting. You do not feel like you are near the city.)
Our site was small in terms of space to set up our 18 ft camper. Then the "yard" area was spread out with our fire pit almost in the neighbors site. It was strangely laid out. Sites were large, but lack privacy with no vegetation between them.
The things we liked.... on site firewood sales, rural setting, and clean trails. Things we would like to return to spend more time... the lake, kayak rental, and swimming area.
ReserveAmerica and/or the PA State park system required a 2 night reservation. We had hoped to stay 2 nights, but our scheduled ended up not allowing us to.
We had 1-2 bars 3g on Verizon. I could text, but could not load social media.

Chipped concrete, dirty showers, 2 showers, bench missing in one and broken in the other. No shower curtains. The high point was lots of hot water. So wear your flip flops and don't touch anything! If I could rate lower than 1, it would be done.
Please note you are camping right on the flight path for Pittsburg airport so you'll hear the air traffic.
