Overall Rating
Rabbit Ears Peak road serves as an OHV road and hiking trail to view the Rabbit Ears. It is a beautiful, quiet area with an abundance of wildflowers.
To access the road from the Rabbit Ears trailhead parking lot, continue past the lot and hang a right at the first 3 way intersection. All sites prior to this intersection are designated "no camping." This road is rutted but passable with anything with clearance.
Immediately at the turn, there is a large site in the trees to the right that can accommodate a 20ish foot rig. Beyond that there are 5 available sites with fire rings. The three sites nearest to the entrance can accommodate small rigs. About 1/4th of a mile in the road becomes only passable by 4x4. Please scout before going far past the entrance.
The area fluctuated between one and two bars of Verizon 4G.
In general the area was peaceful and beautiful. The views of the high meadow and the Rabbit Ears are not to be missed.
