We stayed for 3 nights in October while visiting the western parts of Olympic national park. The location was beautiful, decently close to many points of interest on the Olympic peninsula, and we had beautiful views of the ocean from our campsite. The beach is very close, but you should expect to climb over a lot of driftwood to access the beach. There is a fire ring, a trash can with a lid, and a picnic table at each site. Each site is clearly numbered and there is a short fence separating sites. We stayed in site 6 and it was pretty level. All of the hookups worked perfectly. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. The coin operated laundry was very reasonably priced ($2.25-3.50 for wash and $1.25 for 45 mins on the dryer). The bathrooms were clean, but the single shower stall in the women’s bathroom didn’t drain well. The free wifi only works right behind the front office and is very slow. There was a little coffee shop on site, but it was closed the whole time we were there. Overall, would definitely stay there again.

Stayed in #42, which had filtered views of the water through the bramble and driftwood. Even in July, lots of fog and cold winds, which kinda sucked for the kids. Beautiful views of James Island. We walked to second beach, would recommend, but first beach is right there! The location for this park is tremendous. A two night minimum was required when we visited in June.

Clean park with fairly easy access to the beach. You might have to hop over a log or two. Didn’t use restroom or laundry, so I can’t comment on that. Overall good. Can’t beat the view. I didn’t see any wolf boys or vampires.

The location and views make this impossible to rate below 5 stars. Bathrooms and laundry facilities are below average. But the location makes up for that. And we saw whales! We stayed in both RV areas and loved both. Friendly and laid back staff !

Otherwise, it's a long way from everything, in a very good way. Staff is very nice. On-site coffee stand, which is cool because we ran out of coffee halfway through our stay.
Cons:
2 campgrounds, one is the "resort side" and one is the Lonesome Creek Campground. Make sure you know which one they're booking you into. The resort side is mch quieter, more open. Lonesome Creek side feels like you're camping at a music festival - the spaces are pretty tightly packed together; feels like not enough space for the amount of people; fireworks were going off fairly late into the night.
Fires are allowed on the beach (with permit) but people weren't really cleaning up the burnt logs and charred paper.
Generally just a bit un-tidy.
The Lonesome Creek side is a very long walk from the small bath house/laundry facility so there are loads of portapotties everywhere - not fun to see or smell.

We stayed in the smaller, less congested side of the resort. Great sites. Lots of space. Steps from the beach. Worth the little extra money. Because this is reservation land, you can have a fire and fireworks on the beach. Can’t recommend this place enough. No cell or WiFi.

We loved our stormy, rainy, windy stay. Waves crashing, seamounts in the mist. The facilities were great. We will be back!
