The bratwurst at Otto’s was phenomenal

Quiet
We enjoyed staying here, very close to all town highlights. The showers were fantastic.
We stayed at site #79 right in middle of the park and was directly across from playground and dumpster. It’s a very long laid out park so you feel like ducks in a row, and the dog park is located only on one end (close to entrance). Nothing more than a small dirt patch with a bench to sit. So you could literally see everyone staying at the park. There are no trees but a large grassy field separating two sides of the park. Great spot for our Nerf war!

Overall, a nice place to stay for 2 weeks. Large park with mostly large pull-thru sites. Sites along the north & south borders are back-in & are smaller. Our site was completely level but it was very obvious that not all sites are even close to being level. All sites are gravel.
Staff takes great care to make sure the site is ready for a new occupant - even raking the gravel prior to your arrival as well as cleaning out the fire pit. Each site has a small concrete patio with a small picnic table in addition to full-hookups.
Packages/mail are allowed to be sent to the campground, even prior to your arrival. The only amenity we used was the laundry to do some larger items. Room is large with 5 washers & 6 dryers. Machines only take quarters & there is no change machine on-site. You can obtain change from the office but weekend hours are 10-2. Park offers daily valet trash as well as valet propane fills.
The biggest drawbacks to the park are the extremely close sites & the poor position of the sewer hookup. After positioning our rig to avoid a tree & still be able to deploy our awning we had to use multiple sewer hoses to reach the hookup. And, the sewer hookup are within 2ft of your neighbors patio/picnic table. I’ve included photos to show these drawbacks.

Quiet, clean and self-checkin, who can ask for more. Oh wait, jacuzzi and swimming pool too. And all flat for ease of walking or bike riding. Full hook-ups, free internet will only let your check email but you can pay for better internet. Most definitely will stay here next time around too.

We camped here end of Jan 2018. The park changed ownership and or management very recently and changed their name to the Vineyards at Fredericksburg. The office person seemed overwhelmed to the point of yes or no answers to my queries while shuffling thru a pile of paperwork. Cons.: Half size picnic tables--- tiny gravel on driveway wouldn't allow traction to leveling blocks and tracked into coach--- extra charge if ck in b4 2 pm--- extreme lengths of sewer hook ups--- extreme hike (uphill) to bath or shower if anywhere over 1/4 of the way to back of park--- absurd hours of bath or shower, they are locked from 9:30 PM till 8:00 AM.--- published rates are $42 per night but if you ask for Good Sam discount they say "Oh, that includes the GS discount". That's Texas BS if I'm asked!--- weekly rates are 7 times the nightly rate. Again BS.--- 16 channel satellite/cable that doesn't work for everybody--- Highway noise was a problem OK, some Pros: very clean bath, showers, laundry and pool area--- convenient (end of your driveway) trash pick up--- fenced dog park--- the outdoor maintenance crew seemed to care and pay attention to details like raking the driveway after a departure--- Free Keurig coffee in office. We moved to another local campground and were treated much better and and we saved $120 for a 7 day stay. I would consider another stay here but not with the current rates and rules.

Great park! Nice, level spots with artificial grass. A little close to the road, but wasn't bad.
