You can camp here for 30 days within any calendar year. It can be noisy at night due to loud music and dirt bikes. On two of our three stays here, the nights were peaceful and the stars were brilliant. The other time, we were woken up by dirt bikes and loud music. We take the chance because the setting is so beautiful, there are flush toilets, and coin op showers. For a more peaceful location, check out Hawk Canyon in Anza Borrego State Park or Clark Dry Lake which is just outside of Borrego Springs.

I'm a dispersing camper and don't require amenities. There are vault toilets in a free established campground upon entering the area. The scenery is beautiful and the area to disperse is immense. Plenty of room for me and my dogs. I stayed the weekend after New Years so human footprint was obvious w/ some left over fireworks containers and cardboard around. But cleaner than most places. Fire-rings here and there, kids out four-wheeling. All in all good place to stay w/ Borrego Springs 30 minutes away.
