Need Improvement: bath houses are dated and not maintained and quite dirty. There is no accommodation for handicapped/wheel chair users. To operate showers one pulls a high chain which gets very slippery one soaped. There is no horizontal handle. Release chain, water stops. There is no temperature control and water is almost scalding. Those with children didn’t use. There is no where to place soap, shampoo, towel, clothes. Drains were clogged with hair so one stands in several inches of water.
The bad: Sites are $25/night cash, no checks or credit cards. And no senior discount. You need to ask for a receipt, and this is generic—no indication that it is going to Troop County, nor is there numeric accountability. In speaking to fellow camper learned you could have ‘Sunset’ checkout for an additional fee. Lake is used by fast and loud speed boats.

GPS took me to the wrong spot at first, so be aware. If you are coming from Lagrange direction, it will be on the left, NOT right side of the road. Signage for the campground is very apparent, so if you don’t see signs to turn into Pune Road Park, keep going! This is my first post ever so hopefully works. Posted some pictures already but not sure where they went on my iPhone. Plenty of AT&T cell service. Would stay here again. On our way out we went to dump. Was locked but camp host came right away. Keep their number in your pocket.

I really enjoyed my stay. Site 8 was level and plenty of room for my 26’ TT. Water pressure was a good and 30/50 amp was available. Well maintained on the lake with a large deck and bench seat. Bath house way up on a hill with no parking adjacent to it. Did not hike to it.
Campground was clean, quiet and very convenient to the lake , dock and boat ramp.
Dump station was well maintained.
I will return soon!

We have a small 5th wheel, only 25ft, and we were hard pressed to get into and out of this park. The sites along the lake are really pretty and about 5 out of the 20 some sites are level. They do have water and electric, only 30 amp and it is an older campground, so the water is on one side, the electric on the other. Be prepared to have long hoses and cords. When we pulled in the office looked closed down, rather abandoned, but the park was crowded. A man was sitting in a pick up waving us on down the road and he was the 'park host'. He gave us site #13 which was lakeside --- it had substantial ditches on either side of the pull-thru entrance and apparently the last rain storm had created a large gully through the middle of the site. We decided against it and traveled farther into the park. The ONLY turn around was a tenting area which fortunately no one was using. We found a site near on the way back which didn't have anything near a level area in it. Then a woman came running up waving a receipt saying she had paid for that site and we needed to move. We contemplated just leaving and going to Walmart but were exhausted and it was miles back to town.
We pull out and find another site - where we listed like a bad shipwreck even after leveling. With FIVE boards under the left tires we managed not to fall to one side of the 5th wheel. It was just for one night, we dealt.
My advice ---- if you have a large rig - DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CAMPGROUND. There were some 28' in there, but they were on the only 5 level sites in the park. There is limited area to turn around and pretty much every site had a ditch just waiting for a set of tires to slip into it.
